Abstract

La presente se refiere a adsorbentes zeoliticos a base de cristales aglomerados de zeolita EMT que comprende bario y/o potasio. Estos adsorbentes encuentran aplicaciones en la separación de cortes de isómeros aromáticos en C₈ y particularmente de los xilenos, en la separación de isómeros de tolueno sustituido tales como nitrotolueno, dietiltolueno, toluenodiamina, en la separación de los cresoles, y alcoholes polihídricos, tales como los azúcares. Reivindicación 12: Procedimiento de preparación de un adsorbente según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, que comprende al menos las etapas de: a) aglomeración de un polvo de zeolita que comprende zeolita EMT, con un ligante y puesta en forma, luego secado y calcinación, b) intercambio catiónico del aglomerado por puesta en contacto con una solución de iones bario, o de iones potasio, o de iones bario y de iones potasio, c) Intercambio eventual con potasio, d) luego lavado y secado del producto así tratado, y e) activación del adsorbente zeolítico así obtenido.
