Abstract
Un conjunto de pilas de celdas de combustible tiene una pluralidad de celdas cada una de las cuales posee un conducto para el refrigerante líquido. Un colector alimentador de refrigerante tiene una primera entrada y una segunda entrada y está acoplado a cada conducto para distribuir el refrigerante líquido dentro de cada celda. Una bomba está acoplada para despachar el refrigerante líquido al colector alimentador de refrigerante a través de las entradas primera y segunda. Un conjunto de control de caudal está configurado para modificar periódicamente las velocidades relativas de flujo del refrigerante líquido a través de la primera y de la segunda entrada de modo de evitar regiones de estancamiento en el colector alimentador de refrigerante. El conjunto de control de caudal puede también adaptarse para que periódicamente interrumpa la ruta de flujo entre la bomba y el colector de forma tal que el refrigerante líquido se despache al colector en forma intermitente, permitiendo así flujos bajos de agua por debajo del punto de referencia mínimo de la bomba.
