Abstract
Un apilamiento de celdas de combustible comprende una pila de celdas de combustible, cada celda de combustible tiene un conducto de aire refrigerante con una apertura de ventilación de entrada / salida dispuesta sobre una cara de ventilación de la pila. Las aperturas de ventilación forman una alineación sobre dicha cara de ventilación de la pila. Un primer ventilador está configurado para dirigir flujo de aire directo a través de una primera porción de la cara de ventilación y un segundo ventilador está configurado para dirigir flujo de aire a través de una segunda porción de la cara de ventilación. Una cámara reconfigurable está en comunicación fluida con el primer ventilador y el segundo ventilador y tiene una primer configuración en donde se dirige aire, mediante los ventiladores primero y segundo, a través de las porciones primera y segunda de la cara de ventilación en la misma dirección, y una segunda configuración en donde se dirige aire, mediante por lo menos uno de los ventiladores, respectivamente a través de las porciones primera y segunda de la cara de ventilación en direcciones opuestas. Cuando funciona en el segundo modo de funcionamiento, las direcciones de flujo de aire a través de las porciones primera y segunda de la cara de ventilación se invierten periódicamente.
