Abstract

Se proporcionan un aparato y un sistema y método asociados para producir segmentos de tallos de un material vegetal. Una cortadora incluye un brazo de corte configurado para ser impulsado de manera giratoria en un primer extremo de este de forma tal que el brazo de corte es capaz de girar alrededor de un eje de rotación prácticamente paralelo a un eje longitudinal de un material vegetal posicionado para el corte. Una disposición de corte está unida con el brazo de corte e incluye al menos dos cuchillas espaciadas que se extienden desde un segundo extremo del brazo de corte y prácticamente perpendiculares a su eje giratorio. La disposición de corte incluye un puente unido con las cuchillas y que se extiende perpendicularmente entre estas. Las cuchillas están configuradas para interactuar con el material vegetal de modo de cortar el material vegetal en segmentos de tallos. El aparato y el sistema y método asociados para producir segmentos de tallos incluye un sistema de control en comunicación electrónica con el sistema de transporte y el ensamble de corte.
