Abstract
El producto de la reacción de un compuesto de polihidroxi y bórax se utiliza como un retardador de cemento para suspensiones coloidales que se introducen en una perforación de pozo. La relación molar del compuesto de polihidroxi a boro, que se deriva del bórax, es desde 1:1 hasta aproximadamente 4:1. El compuesto de polihidroxi puede ser un azúcar tal como un ácido glucónico, gluconato o glucoheptonato o una sal de los mismos.Reivindicación 7: Un método para retardar el tiempo de fraguado de una suspensión coloidal a base de cemento que se introduce en una perforación de pozo, que comprende: (a) introducir en la perforación de pozo una suspensión coloidal a base de cemento que comprende agua, un cemento y un retardador de cemento, el retardador de cemento comprende un producto derivado de un compuesto de polihidroxi y bórax, la relación molar del compuesto de polihidroxi a boro, derivado del bórax, es desde 1:1 hasta aproximadamente 4:1; (b) disociar las sales de borato y el compuesto de polihidroxi del retardador de cemento a una elevada temperatura; y (c) permitir que la suspensión coloidal endurezca en una masa sólida.
