Abstract

Se divulgan composiciones surfactantes útiles para la recuperación de petróleo. Las composiciones comprenden del 10 a 80% en peso de un sulfato de alcohol C12-20 propoxilado, de 10 a 80% en peso de un sulfonato de olefinas internas C12-20 y del 0,1 a 10% en peso de un sulfato de alcohol C4-12 etoxilado. Sorpresivamente, incluir una proporción menor del sulfato de alcohol etoxilado reduce o elimina la necesidad de tener que depender de costosos cosolventes para lograr un buen desempeño en procesos de recuperación mejorada de petróleo. En particular, se pueden lograr bajas tensiones interfaciales y bajas viscosidades de microemulsiones cuando el sulfato de alcohol etoxilado acompaña al sulfato de alcohol propoxilado y el sulfonato de olefinas internas. También se divulgan concentrados acuosos que comprenden agua y las composiciones surfactantes descriptas anteriormente. La dilución de la composición surfactante o el concentrado acuoso con agua o salmuera hasta alcanzar el nivel de activos aniónicos deseado provee una composición inyectable útil para aplicaciones de EOR. También se divulgan microemulsiones estables, de baja viscosidad, de petróleo en agua que comprenden petróleo crudo, agua y las composiciones surfactantes.
