Abstract
Los métodos para generar una población marcada de plantas de maíz incluyen transformar una célula o tejido de maíz con las construcciones divulgadas.Reivindicación 1: Una construcción de ADN de activación por marcado de maíz, caracterizada porque comprende una secuencia de codificación de una transposasa; una región de codificación de un informante detectable que comprende una secuencia que codifica un gen regulador de antocianina B-Peru ligado operativamente a un primer promotor constitutivo de gran nivel; y una secuencia que codifica un gen regulador de antocianina C1 ligado operativamente a un segundo promotor constitutivo de gran nivel; y un casete de ADN-T de transposición no autónoma insertado en la región de codificación de un informante detectable de manera tal que los genes B-Peru y C1 expresan antocianinas en una célula que contiene a la construcción de ADN de activación por marcado de maíz sólo después de haber recortado el casete de transposición, donde el casete de transposición comprende un par de sustratos de ADN para la transposasa, entre los cuales se dispone un elemento potenciador de la transcripción; y, opcionalmente una secuencia que codifica un marcador seleccionable ligado operativamente al elemento potenciador de la transcripción. Reivindicación 12: El método de la reivindicación 11, caracterizado porque la identificación de una población marcada de plantas de maíz comprende medir el contenido de antocianina en una célula o tejido vegetal de maíz transformada, y comparar el contenido de antocianina en la célula o tejido vegetal de maíz transformada con el de una célula o tejido vegetal de maíz de control.
