Abstract
Un codificador de audio y un decodificador de audio están basados en una combinacion de dos canales de audio (201, 202) para obtener una primera senal de combinacion (204) como una senal central y una senal residual (205), la cual se puede obtener utilizando una senal lateral previsible proveniente de la senal central. La primera senal de combinacion y la senal residual de prediccion están codificadas (209) y escritas (212) en una corriente de datos (213) junto con la informacion de prediccion (206) obtenida por un optimizador (207) en base a un objetivo de optimizacion (208). Un decodificador utiliza la senal residual de prediccion, la primera senal de combinacion y la informacion de prediccion para obtener una primera senal de canal decodificada y una segunda senal de canal decodificada. En un ejemplo de codificador o en un ejemplo de decodificador, una transformada real-a-imaginaria se puede aplicar para estimar la parte imaginaria del espectro de la primera senal de combinacion. Para calcular la senal de prediccion utilizada en la obtencion de la senal residual de prediccion, la primera senal de combinacion de valor real se multiplica por una porcion real de la informacion de prediccion compleja y la parte imaginaria estimada de la primera senal de combinacion se multiplica por una porcion imaginaria de la informacion de prediccion compleja.
