Abstract

Un guante de látex flexible, resistente a los cortes y resistentes a la inflamacion ocasionada por hidrocarburos, con un forro resistente a las llamas y resistente a los cortes y un recubrimiento de policloropreno polimérico de látex resistente a las llamas y resistente a los aceites. El forro tejido resistente a los cortes y resistente al fuego se hace a partir de un hilo compuesto con un nucleo de fibra de vidrio y que opcionalmente incluye una fibra de acero. El nucleo tiene una vaina de nucleo acolchada formada por un hilado en forma de anillo de fibras de microdenier cortadas resistentes a los cortes, por ejemplo, de para-aramida. Con las fibras cortadas de para-aramida se pueden incluir fibras cortadas de modacrílico. Hay dos envolturas de hilos continuos de poliéster, para-aramida, o ambos con una densidad de envoltura tal que las envolturas no cubren a la vaina del nucleo en su totalidad. En ausencia de fibra de acero, el guante resistente a los cortes y a la inflamacion ocasionada por hidrocarburos muestra buenas características de aislacion eléctrica para impedir el cortocircuito de circuitos eléctricos aun con el sudor generado por la mano. El guante es flexible debido al bajo denier del hilo compuesto y es muy respirante especialmente cuando se recubren con polímero de policloropreno solo la palma y los dedos.
