Abstract

Se proveen métodos y composiciones para la transformacion eficiente de Miscanthus. El método incluye la infeccion por Agrobacterium, particularmente los que comprenden un vector binario. De esta manera, se puede introducir cualquier gen o secuencia de nucleotidos de interés en la planta de Miscanthus. El gen o la secuencia de nucleotidos de interés transformados estarán flanqueados por al menos un borde T-ADN y estarán presentes en el Miscanthus transformado en una cantidad baja de copias. También se proveen células, tejidos, plantas y semillas transformadas de Miscanthus.
