Abstract
Un método para extraer energía a partir de biomasa agotado de por lo menos un poco de carbohidrato por lo menos un poco de aceite o ambos al a) introducir biomasa en una cámara de combustion alargada verticalmente que tiene i)por lo menos un quemador de suspension en la parte superior de la cámara de combustion el cual es capaz de proyectar una flama por debajo del eje de la cámara de combustion, ii) un aparato de transferencia térmica que tiene por lo menos una porcion de una superficie de recoleccion térmica ubicada radialmente desde flama y por debajo del quemador, y iii)una abertura de escape ubicada por debajo de flama y por debajo de por lo menos una porcion de la superficie de recoleccion térmica; b) quemar la biomasa para producir una mezcla que contiene gas de combustion caliente y ceniza fundida por arriba de la abertura de escape; c) transferir calor de gas de combustion caliente a por lo menos una porcion de superficie de recoleccion térmica sustancialmente por radiacion antes de cualquier contacto sustancial de ceniza con una superficie de la cámara de combustion, para producir una mezcla que contiene gas de combustion tibio y ceniza no fundida y que tiene un contenido de ceniza fundida inferior que la mezcla producida por la etapa de combustion; y d) enfriar el gas de combustion tibio con gas frío, para producir una mezcla que contiene gas de combustion frío y ceniza no fundida y que tiene un contenido de ceniza fundida inferior que la mezcla producida por la etapa de transferencia.
