Abstract
Provide a motorcycle exhaust system capable of improving the motorcycle's external appearance by hiding the exhaust catalyst with a silencer in the side view and reducing the manufacturing cost by minimizing the length of the exhaust pipe. An exhaust pipe is connected to an exhaust port of an engine E. An exhaust gas catalyst is arranged in the longitudinal direction substantially along the direction of the motorcycle. Unsilencer is arranged, in the longitudinal direction, substantially along the forward and backward direction of the motorcycle. In addition, the front part of the silencer extends towards the front part of the motorcycle and overlaps the exhaust gas catalyst in the side view and, thus, the exhaust gas catalyst is hidden by the silencer. Provide a chassis structure for a motorcycle to optimize the rigidity balance of a chassis, reduce manufacturing cost and improve the degree of freedom in design. A motorcycle chassis structure includes a head tube, a main frame that has a substantially square cross section that extends downwardly backward from the head tube; a pair of pivot plates - right and left - spliced to the rear surface of the main frame; a pair of rear frames on the upper side - right and left - spliced to the rear of the main frame and extending upwards backwards; and a pair of rear frames of the lower side - right and left - arranged on the lower side of the rear frames of the upper side and extending upwards towards the lower side, where the opening of a plate has a substantially cross-sectional section with U-shape that splices to both lateral surfaces of the rear end of the main frame, and both lateral surfaces at the closing end of the plate are spliced to the rear frames of the lower side.
