Abstract

Un método para incrementar la biomasa seca de una planta a través del incremento de la asimilacion de carbono al tratar una planta, una parte de la planta, el sitio donde la planta está creciendo o se pretende que crezca y/o propágulos de la planta con al menos un insecticida. También un método para incrementar la biomasa del fruto de una planta a través del incremento de la asimilacion de carbono, en donde el fruto contiene 5 al 25% en peso de humedad residual, basado en el peso total del fruto, al tratar una planta, una parte de la planta, el sitio donde la planta está creciendo o se pretende que crezca y/o propágulos de la planta con al menos un insecticida. También un método para incrementar el secuestro de dioxido de carbono de la atmosfera al tratar una planta, una parte de la planta, el sitio donde la planta está creciendo o se pretende que crezca y/o propágulos de la planta con al menos un insecticida tal como se describe más adelante. Reivindicacion 2: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, caracterizado porque el insecticida está seleccionado de compuestos antagonistas GABA, compuestos agonistas/antagonistas del receptor nicotínico y compuestos de antranilamida de la formula (1) en donde A1 es CH3, Cl, Br o I; X es C-H, C-Cl, C-F o N; Y' es F, Cl o Br; Y'' es F, Cl o CF3; B1 es hidrogeno, Cl, Br, I o CN; B2 es Cl, Br, CF3, OCH2CF3 u oCF2H; y Rb es hidrogeno CH3 o CH(CH3)2
