Abstract

Un método para mejorar la salud osea y la salud muscular de un animal de companía; el método comprende la administracion al animal de companía de una composicion que comprende un componente de ácido graso en donde el componente de ácido graso comprende una relacion del ácido docosahexaenoico (DHA) al ácido eicosapentaenoico (EPA) de aproximadamente 3:1 a aproximadamente 25:1. La presente comprende además una composicion que comprende un componente de ácido graso que comprende ácido docosahexaenoico (DHA) y ácido eicosapentaenoico (EPA) en donde la relacion del ácido docosahexaenoico (DHA) al ácido eicosapentaenoico (EPA) es de aproximadamente 3:1 a aproximadamente 25:1.
