Abstract
Un método y un aparato para ser utilizados en un sistema de multiples antenas de tipo CDMA o basado en OFDM/OFDMA en primer lugar seleccionan un conjunto inicial de ponderaciones de antena y multiplican las ponderaciones de antena seleccionadas por las copias de una senal de transmision con el fin de generar una senal de transmision ponderada. En una implementacion basada en OFDM/OFDMA, se modula un conjunto seleccionado de subportadoras con las copias de senal y luego se ponderan mediante la utilizacion de ponderaciones de antena. La senal de transmision ponderada se transmite mediante la utilizacion de una potencia de transmision total inicial. Si no se recibe una confirmacion dentro de un intervalo de tiempo predeterminado, las ponderaciones de antena se ajustan y/o se reseleccionan las subportadoras y se transmite una senal de transmision ponderada modificada. La potencia de transmision total se mantiene en un valor fijo a medida que las ponderaciones de antena y/o las subportadoras seleccionadas se ajustan y se aumenta solo si no se recibe una confirmacion luego de un numero predeterminado de ajustes de ponderacion y/o de reselecciones de subportadoras.
