Abstract

Pulpa mecánica o química se trata con alrededor de 0,01 % en peso a aproximadamente 5 % en peso de una mezcla. La mezcla es agua; ácido dietilentriaminopentaquis-(metil)fosfonico o sus sales conocidas; ácido poliacrílico o sus sales conocidas y opcionalmente uno o más compuestos inertes. Esta mezcla actua para mantener el nivel de brillo de la pulpa al nivel objetivo o para incrementar el nivel de brillo de la pulpa. Además, la mezcla permite mantener a la pulpa al nivel de brillo objetivo incluso cuando se reducen las cantidades de otros ingredientes, tales como peroxido de hidrogeno, hidrosulfito, silicato de sodio y magnesio, que se anaden típicamente a la pulpa.
