Abstract
La presente se relaciona con un método de reducir un compuesto oxígeno-metal donde el carbono actúa como un agente reductor, comprendiendo en una primera etapa de la reacción, pasar gas CO dentro de una cámara de reacción que contiene dicho compuesto oxígeno-metal, bajo condiciones tales que el CO sea convertido en carbono sólido y dióxido de carbono introduciendo de esta forma el carbono sólido así formado en el compuesto oxígeno-metal, y en una segunda etapa de la reacción, hacer que el carbono, que es introducido en el compuesto oxígeno-metal, en la primera etapa de la reacción, reduzca dicho compuesto oxígeno-metal, donde está presente, al menos en dicha segunda etapa de la reacción, un primer material promotor efectivo para promover la reducción de dicho compuesto oxígeno-metal, comprendiendo el primer material promotor un primer metal promotor y/o un compuesto de un primer metal promotor. La presente también se refiere a un aparato para llevar a cabo la reducción de un compuesto oxígeno-metal donde el carbono actúa como un agente reductor.
