Abstract

Un método para operar un dispositivo de protección a efectos de proteger una aplicación contra su operación no autorizada, en el cual la aplicación no podrá operar en un dispositivo que se halle fuera de una región operativa predeterminada. El método comprende asociar un indicador geográfico con la aplicación, en lo cual el indicador geográfico identifica la región operativa predeterminada, y descargar la aplicación y el identificador geográfico en el dispositivo. El método también incluye recibir un requerimiento para ejecutar la aplicación en el dispositivo, en el cual el requerimiento incluye un indicador geográfico, y determinar una ubicación del dispositivo. El método también incluye comparar la ubicación del dispositivo con la región operativa predeterminada identificada por el indicador geográfico, e impedir que la aplicación sea ejecutada cuando el dispositivo se halle fuera de la región operativa predeterminada.
