Abstract
Una placa de cátodo para la refinación u obtención electrolítica de metal. El cátodo comprende una cuchilla de cátodo (100) y una barra de suspensión (300). Se envuelve una cantidad de material conductor de la electricidad (350) alrededor de la barra de suspensión y a lo largo de la cuchilla de cátodo (400) hasta un lugar que durante el uso está próximo al nivel de electrolito (500) en el bano electrolítico. El suministro de un recubrimiento de material conductor de la electricidad más profundo y preferentemente de mayor espesor que en la placa de cátodo convencional reduce el consumo de energía en el circuito electrolítico.
