Abstract

Un conjunto de sellado terminal para pilas alcalinas cilíndricas de tamano pequeno. El conjunto de sellado elimina la necesidad de contar con una caperuza terminal separada y también la necesidad de proveer una arandela aislante que normalmente se incluye entre la caperuza terminal y la carcasa en el extremo abierto de la pila al efecto de aislar la caperuza terminal de la carcasa. El conjunto de sellado incluye un disco de sellado aislante que calza en el extremo abierto de la carcasa de la pila. El borde periférico de la carcasa de la pila se pliega sobre el borde del disco aislante para sellar la pila. El disco aislante comprende una protuberancia central elevada integral que sobresale del extremo abierto de la carcasa. Un colector de corriente alargado penetra en el interior de la pila por una abertura en la protuberancia central. La cabeza del colector de corriente queda así expuesta al ambiente externo y forma un terminal (negativo) de la pila. La protuberancia es más ancha que lo normal para evitar que se trabe con las cabezas de otras pilas similares.
