Abstract
Se provee un stent en escalera bobinado caracoleado, en el cual la bobina se forma de una tira arrollada de celdas, en donde los lados de las celdas son caracoleados. Así el stent está compuesto de una tira arrollada helicoidalmente formando una serie de arrollamientos bobinados, en donde la tira está formada de por lo menos dos bandas laterales conectadas entre sí, por ejemplo por una serie de montantes transversales. Los montantes transversales pueden ser posicionados levemente oblicuos. Cada banda lateral está formada en un patron caracoleado comprendiendo una serie de curvas, en donde con la expansion del stent, las curvas de las bandas laterales se abren para aumentar la longitud de cada una de las celdas individuales en la direccion helicoidal, alargando por ese medio la tira de la direccion helicoidal para permitir al stent expandirse sin desenrollamiento significativo de la tira.
