Abstract
Provee enlaces de interconexion entre los modulos presentes en un nodo conmutador. Un enlace redundante físico acopla los modulos, y se utiliza un rotulo de encaminamiento de paquetes de datos de estado dual para identificar cual enlace esta activo. Un rotulo standard recibido procedente de un dispositivo de aplicacion es convertido en el rotulo de encaminamiento de paquetes de datos de estado dual, después que los datos hayan salido del dispositivo de aplicacion de manera tal que el encaminamiento del enlace de interconexion es esencialmente invisible para la capa de la aplicacion
