Abstract
Una pila boton de zinc/aire (210) que posee un sellador adhesivo (143) aplicado a una porcion de la superficie interna de la carcasa del cátodo de la pila (240). El sellador adhesivo (143) puede ser aplicado a la superficie interna de un escalon anular concavo (245) que rodea el terminal positivo de la pila sobre la carcasa del cátodo (240). El adhesivo preferentemente se aplica en un patron que se adapta a la forma del escalon concavo anular. Una lámina barrera de electrolito, preferentemente de Teflon, puede ser aplicada al patron adhesivo sobre la superficie interna de dicho escalon anular (245) preferentemente de manera que el adhesivo adhiera el borde de la lámina barrera al escalon. El adhesivo evita que el electrolito se fugue de la pila. El adhesivo se aplica preferentemente preparando una placa con un patron deseado repujado en ella, llenando el repujado en la placa con una mezcla adhesiva, aplicando una almohadilla de silicona al repujado para transferir el patron de adhesivo a la almohadilla, y luego aplicando la almohadilla a la superficie interna del escalon de la carcasa del cátodo (245) para transferir el patron de adhesivo a ella. El adhesivo preferentemente es una mezcla basada en disolvente que comprende una poliamida.
