Abstract
Una planta (1) para licuar gas natural que comprende un intercambiador de calor principal (10) en donde el gas natural (5) es licuado por medio deintercambio de calor indirecto con un agente refrigerante de evaporacion, y un circuito refrigerante (20 ) en donde el refrigerante evaporado es comprimido (23a23b) y licuado a fin de producir un agente refrigerante líquido que es utilizado en el intercambiador de calor principal (10), en donde el circuitorefrigerante (20) inlcuye un tren compresor (23a , 23b) que comprende por lo menos un compresor (65a hasta 67b) impulsado por un motor eléctrico (83a, 83b).
