Abstract

Se trata el tabaco antes o durante el proceso de curado para disminuir o eliminar las poblaciones bacterianas y/o actividad bacteriana, crecimiento dehongos, y/o nitrosaminas específicas del tabaco o niveles de endotoxinas bacterianas en el tabaco cu rado, en el que se trata el tabaco con una cantidad eficazde una solucion de lavado. El tabaco curado al aire se puede curar en cuatro semanas o menos cuando se lo trata con una solucion de lavado de sales debicarbonato.
