Abstract

Un polímero en dispersion, soluble en agua, de alto peso molecular, que tiene una viscosidad de Brookfield global de 10 a 25,000 cps a 25sC, caracterizadoporque comprende de 5 a 50 por ciento en peso de un polimero soluble en agua preparado mediantepolimerizacion bajo condiciones de formacion de radicaleslibres en una solucion acuosa de una sal en agua en presencia de un estabilizador a un pH mayor de 5: i) 0-30 por ciento en mol de por lo menos un monomeroanionico y ii)100-70 por ciento enmol de por lo menos un monomero no ionico; en donde el estabilizador es un polímero anionico soluble en agua que tiene unaviscosidad intrínseca en NaNO3 1 M de 0,1 - 10 y comprende de 0,1 a aproximadamente 5 por ciento en peso, en base al pesototal de la dispersion y la salsoluble en agua es seleccionada del grupo que consiste de haluros, sulfatos y fosfatos de amonio, metal alcalino y metal alcalinotérreo y comprende deaproximadamente 5 a aproximadamente 40 por ciento en peso, en baseal peso de la dispersion. Se describe también un procedimiento para su preparacion.
