Abstract

La presente se relaciona con un fragmento aislado de ácido nucleico que codifica toxinas de escorpión que son modificadoras de canales de K. La presente se relaciona también con la construcción de un gen quimérico que codifica toda o una porción sustancial del modificador de canales de K, en la orientación del sentido del marco de lectura o antisentido, donde la expresión del gen quimérico da como resultado la producción de niveles alterados de la proteína que media los efectos del modificador de canales de K en la célula huésped transformada.
