Abstract

El agregado de una pequena cantidad de colorante violeta a un material de lente de contacto da origen a una lente de contacto transparente que no tiene unadesagradable coloracion amarilla notable, como la provocada por un compuesto absorbente de la radiacion UV. Además, el colorante violeta se puede emplearasimismo con una lente de color, en ausencia de tinte de manipulacion, a fin de enmascarar algun posible tinte amarillo, como el producido por un compuestoabsorbente de UV. El colorante violeta no altera de manera inadmisible el color modificador de la lente de color.
