Abstract
Una composición de vidrio absorbente de radiación infrarroja y ultravioleta, de color bronce, que tiene una composición que incluye una porción de vidrio base que incluye: SiO2 66 a 75 por ciento en peso, Na2O 10 a 20 por ciento en peso, CaO 5 a 15 por ciento en peso, MgO 0 a 5 por ciento en peso, Al2O3 0 a 5 por ciento en peso, K2O 0 a 5 por ciento en peso, y una porción colorante y absorbente de radiación solar que consta esencialmente de: Hierro total 0,7 a 2,2 por ciento en peso, FeO 0,15 a 0,5 por ciento en peso, Se 3 a 100 PPM, y CoO 0 a 200 PPM, teniendo el vidrio una transmitancia luminosa (TAL) de hasta 60 por ciento, una transmitancia ultravioleta solar total (TSUV) de 40 por ciento o menos, una transmitancia infrarroja solar total (TSIR) de 35 por ciento o menos, una transmitancia de energía solar total (TEST) de 40 por ciento o menos, y caracterizado el color del vidrio por una longitud de onda dominante en la banda de 571 a 590 nanómetros y una pureza de excitación de 15 a 75 por ciento a un espesor de 4,06 mm (0,160 pulgadas).
