Abstract

Se trata de mezclas que comprenden: (A)de 1 a 99% en peso basado en los pesos combinados de los componentes A, B y C de por lo menos un interpolímeroaleatorio; y en donde dicho interpolímero; (1)contiene de 0,5 a 65% molar de unidades de polímero derivadas de: (a)por lo menos un monomero aromático devinilideno, o (b)por lo menos un monomero de vinilideno alifático impedido, o (c)una combinacion de por lo menos un monomero aromático o vinilideno y por lomenos un monomero aromático o vinilideno ypor lo menos un monomeo de vinilo o vinilideno alifático impedido; (2)contiene de 35 a 99.5% molar de unidades depolímero derivadas de por lo menos una alfa-olefina alifática que tiene de 2 a 20 átomos de carbono; (3)tiene un peso molecular (Mn) mayor que 1,000; (4)tieneun índice de fusion (I2) de 0,01 a 1,000; (5)tiene una distribucion de peso molecular (Mw/Mn)de 1.5 a 20; y (B)de 99 a 1% en peso basado en los pesoscombinados de los componentes A, B y C de uno o más homopolímero(s) copolímero(s) de haluro de vinilo; y (C) de 0 a 70% en peso basado en los pesos combinadosde los componentes A, B y C de uno o más plastificantes. Dichas mezclas permiten disponer de materiales con atributos mejorados de procesamiento/propiedad conrespecto a lospolímeros no modificados que comprenden las mezclas.Dichas mezclas pueden exhibir un equilibrio unico de propiedades incluyendo propiedadesmejoradas de modulo y de barrera, resistencia a la tension mejorada, capacidad de sellado de radio frecuencia(rf), capacidad de union de solvente, estabilidadtérmica y resistencia térmica dependiendo de la seleccion de los componentes de mezcla individuales y sus relaciones de composicion. Además, la ubicacion y elámbito de la transicion vítrea pueden ser controlados variando el nivel de composicion de mezcla y plastificante. Sorprendentemente, las mezclas incluyen unplastificante muestran un material de fase individual a partir de análisis de datos de temperatura de transicion vitrea.
