Abstract

Un aparato monitor de calidad de fibras construido con una ventana de muestreo para visualizar una muestra de fibra. A medida que la muestra de fibra pasajunto a la ventana de muestreo, se seleccionan los impulsos de una bombita para reproducir unim pulso luminoso dirigido hacia y reflejado por la muesta defibra. Un segundo diodofotosensible detecta la luz reflejada conuna longirud de onda de entre aproximadamente 500 nanometros y aproximadamente 600 nanometros y produje una senal dereflexion. Un tercer diodo fotosensible detecta la luz reflejada con una longitud de onda de entre aproximadamente 420 nanometros yaprox imadamente 530nanometros y produce una senal de color. Una cámara con dispositivos acoplados por carga que se coloca para que reciba el impulso luminoso reflejado. La cámaracon dispositivos acoplados por carga tiene una serie de pixeles querecibe el impulso luminoso reflejado. Los pixeles que reciben el impulso luminoso reflejadoa una intensidad por debajo de un valor deseado se denominan pixeles oscuros y los pixeles que reciben el impulso luminoso reflejado a una intensidadporencima del nive l deseado se denominan pixeles claros. Un prisma enfoca el impulso luminoso reflejado recibido por el segundo y tercer diodos fotosensibles y unbloque transparente encierra la bombita de xenon estroboscopica y el primer diodofotosensible de manera q ue el impulso luminoso es conducido desde la bombitade xenon hasta el primer diodo. Un medio de procesamiento analiza la senal de color y la senal de reflexion y producir un valor compuesto, y un valorporcentual querepresenta el porcentaje de pixele s oscuros que hay en la serie de pixeles oscuros y claros. Además, el medio de procesamiento reconoce yclasifica los patrones de pixeles oscuros en la serie de pixeles oscuros y claros, y control al equipoprocesador de fibras en respuesta a los valo rescompuesto y porcentual.
