Abstract

Un procedimiento para reducir el contenido de metales de corrientes de petroleo con contenido metálico, formando una mezcla de la fraccion de petroleo quecontiene esos metales y un medio acuoso de electrolisis que contiene un agente de transferenciade electrones y haciendo pasar una corriente eléctrica a travésde la mezcla o a través del medio acuoso de electrolisis previamente tratado a un voltaje suficiente para eliminar metales tales como Ni, V y Fe de lacorriente (es decir para producir unafraccion de petroleo con menor contenido de metales). El voltaje catodico es de 0V a 3,0 V contra SCE. El procedimientoincrementa el valor de las cargas de alimentacion de petroleo que tradicionalmente tienen uso limitado en las refinerías debido asu contenido de metales, porejemplo Ni y V.
