Abstract

Un aparato de almacenamiento de datos de video y método para operarlo, donde el aparato incluye un disco duro para almacenamiento de datos de video quetiene una primera seccion en la que datos de video son almacenados y designados para grabacion permanente, y una segunda seccion en la que los datos de videoson almacenados expuestos a reenvío después de un corto período de tiempo. Si ocurre un evento de alarma, algunos o la totalidad de los datos en la segundaseccion puede ser asegurados para almacenamiento permanente. El procedimiento a ser empleado para el aseguramiento de los datos en la segunda porcion paraalmacenamiento permanente es adaptado a la proporcion de los datos en la segunda seccion que se desea sean asegurados.
