Abstract

Sistema para conectar líneas de PSTN a teléfonos, receptores, computadoras, máquinas de telecopiado y otras interfaces de usuario final o dispositivoselectronicos para el usuario en el hogar o en la empresa. Los sistemas, de acuerdo con la presente invencion incluyen Unidades de Control de la Red queforman el centro de una topología en forma de estrella y, los cuales se comunican a través de un enlace de RF con las Unidades de Acceso Inalámbricas ylos receptores. Las Unidades de Acceso Inalámbrico cuentan con la particularidad de una interfaz como, por ejemplo, un jack para teléfonosestándar para conectar un teléfono, un aparato de fax, un modem para computadora u otro dispositivo. Las computadores y los demás dispositivostambién pueden manejarse con Unidades de Acceso Inalámbrico que cuentan con otras interfaces físicas y virtuales que incluyen, por ejemplo, puertosseriales o interfaces de red. Las Unidades de Acceso Inalámbrico también puedenser digitales para manejar ISDN para cualquier otra norma digital. Losaccesorios para el control/monitoreo inalámbrico también pueden ser utilizados para la comunicacion con la Unidad de Control de Red y para proporcionar unafuncionalidad adicionalcomo la del monitoreo en la entrada, el monitoreo de bebés, el control de HVAC y de otros servicios. Tales sistemas puedenmonitorear diferentes bandas de interés, procesar, almacenar y modificar su operacion de acuerdo con la informacion asociada con las senales o los ruidosen tales bandas y, si se lo desea, informar la citada informacion en forma ascendente a los nodos de administracion para los diferentes fines.
