Abstract

Un dispositivo de comunicaciones(10) mejorado con tecla de paso de energía eléctrica (40) situada en una superficie exterior de la carcasa que puedeproveer multiples funciones, pero que resiste a la iniciacion de funciones no deseadas del aparatomanual. El conjunto de circuitos de control, (50), situadodentro del dispositivo de comunicaciones, puede estar configurado de manera de ignorar todo accioanmiento de la tecla de energía eléctrica (40), que tenga unaduracion inferior a unpredetermi nado período de tiempo. El conjunto de circuitos de control (50), lleva a cabo una primera funcion si la tecla deenergía eléctrica es oprimida durante una primeraduracion (T1), y lleva a cabo una segunda funcion cuando la teclade energía e léctrica es oprimida duranteuna segunda duracion (T2). Por ejemplo, la opresion de la tecla de energía eléctrica, (40), duranteun breve período de tiempo, puede silenciar el aviso deuna llamada ingresante, mientras que la opresionde la tecla de energía eléctrica durante un período de tiempo mas prolongado, pondrá el dispositivo decomunicaciones en un estado on(encendido) u of(apagado). La invencion también propone un método para llevar a cabo multiples funcionesmediante dichatec la del dispositivo que incluye los pasos de deteccion del accionar de la tecla, silenciamiento de un aviso y entregar energía eléctrica al dispositivo.
