Abstract
Se provee una película multicapa que tiene propiedades de barrera mejoradas contra la transmision de oxígeno y vapor de agua. La películamulticapa incluye una capa base de polipropileno con una capa de polietileno de alta densidad adherida a por lo menos una superficie de dicha capa base. Lacapa de polietileno incluye una superficie que ha sido sometida a tratamiento con plasma con un material donante de hidroxilo, tal como metanol. La películaincluye además una capa metálica depositada sobre la superficie tratada con plasma, tal como una capa de aluminio depositada al vacío. Las películasmulticapa de acuerdo con la presente invencion son particularmente utiles como películas para envases de productos alimenticios. La invencion proveetambién un método para producir la película multicapa arriba descripta.
