Abstract

Se pueden preparar elastómeros con propiedades físicas mejoradas, en especial la dureza y la elasticidad al choque utilizando diaminasprolongadoras de cadena o por curación por acción de la humedad de prepolímeros basados en diisocianato deto lueno, con bajo contenido de grupos isocianato,preparados a partir de un componente poliol que comprende un diol de polioxipropileno de alto peso molecular y poca insaturación y un diol de bajopeso molecular. Más específicamente loselastó meros de poliuretano/urea comprenden un producto de reacción de: a) un prepolímero terminado enisocianato con un contenido de grupos de aproximadamente 2% por peso a aproximadamente 8% por peso preparado por la reacción de unexcesoe stequiométrico de diisocianato de tolueno con un componente poliol que comprende:a)i) uno o varios dioles de polioxipropileno de alto peso molecularcon una insaturación menor que 0,02 meq/g aproximadamente y un peso molecular mayorque 2000 Da aproximadamente y a)ii) uno o varios dioles de bajo pesomolecular con un peso molecular menor que 400 Da aproximadamente de modo que el número de hidroxilos de dicho componente poliol oscile entre 50 y 200; y b)una diaminaprolongadora de cade na o vapor de agua; con un índice de isocianato comprendido entre aproximadamente 85 y 115. También se refiere a un métodopara preparar los elastómeros de poliuretano/urea y a un prepolímero terminado en isocianato adecuadopara preparar dichos elas tómeros.
