Abstract

El sistema de reconocimiento biométrico consta de dos fases: la creación de un grupo patrón maestro de los grupos característicos biométricos de usuarioautorizados y la autenticación por medio de una red neural de clasificación. Para crear el grupo patrón maestro, se divide una imagen de los rasgoscaracterísticos biométricos de un usuario autorizado en una pluralidad de regiones de interés o rasgos. El sistema determina qué características sonlas mas útiles a los efectos de la identificación. Los patrones maestros se crean luego a partir de dichos rasgos maestros, conformando de esta manera ungrupo patrón maestro. Durante la autenticación, se crea en forma similar un grupo patrón de muestra de un usuario que se desea autenticar. Se utiliza unared neural para comparar el grupo patrón de muestra con el grupo patrón maestro con el objeto de determinar si se debe autenticar al usuario.
