Abstract

La invención se refiere a nuevos compuestos de tipo espiropiranos que presentan, en particular, propiedades fotocromáticas. Se refiere también acopolímeros, composiciones fotocromáticas, matriz copolímera, artículos oftálmicos (tales como lentes) y cristal y/o dispositivo óptico que contienea dichos espiropiranos. Estos fotocromos fueron concebidos por presentar una fuerte colorabilidad, un gran sensibilidad a la radiación de activación queorigina la ruptura del ciclo pirano, una ausencia de coloración o una muy escasa coloración en estado no activado (no expuesto), una coloración intensaluego y una importante cobertura del espectro visible, en asociación con por lo menos otro fotocromo, velocidades elevadas de coloración/decoloración. Estosespiropiranos son, además, fáciles de preparar y fotoquímicamente estables. Dichos espiropiranos tienen por fórmula (I)
