Abstract

El elemento de control de una disposición de freno de estacionamiento a energía hidráulica y eléctrica comprende un funcionamiento redundante osimultáneo de la disposición para cumplir con las Normas Federales de Seguridad. Una perillade mando instalada en el tablero opera un mecanismo deaplicación de freno hidráulico que transmite una presión hidráulica a un pistón piloto hidráulicamente operado. La perilla de mando también acciona una llavepara enviar una senal eléctrica a una unidad de control eléctrica que envía una senal eléctrica a una solenoide. La solenoide y el pistón piloto hidráulicopueden ser operados independiente o simultáneamente, para desplazar una válvula de maniobra situada dentro de un montaje accionador de estacionamientoy obtener la liberación de la presión hidráulica de la aplicación a resorte y los accionadores de liberación hidráulica conectados con los frenos delvehículo. El fluido hidráulico es liberado pasando por la válvula de maniobra y hacia un depósito. Cuando la perilla de freno de estacionamiento retorna a laposición de descanso, la solenoide o bien el pistón piloto hidráulico, independiente o simultáneamente puede ser operado para efectuar el cierre de laválvula de maniobra y la activación de una bomba de motor que transmite presión de fluido a la aplicación a resorte y los accionadores de liberación hidráulicade manera que estos accionadores suelten los frenos del vehículo conectados con los mismos.
