DESIGN FOR PRINTING-TYPES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,463, dated July G, 1875; application tiled June 23, 1875. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all lwhom it ma y concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLiAM W, JACKSON, of the city and county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have originated and designed a new and original Pattern or Design for a, Font of Printing-Types, ot' which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully illustrated in the accompanying typographie impression, to which reference is made; and consists of a heavyface Italic capital and lower-case let ter, having the top and bottom considerably` enlarged, and in some cases beginning and terminating in a sort of half lozenge. The capitals nearly all have at certain convenient points on the bottom an extension in the shape of a tail or plume turned or flowing toward the front or left-hand side of the letter.
