X光為牙科常用之診療手段之一。在臨床上,牙科在施行口內X光攝影前,大多以藉由人工徒手將X光底片包裝入保護片套,因此即便牙醫師於手術或治療的過程前以及過程中皆盡可能秉持著無菌原則進行消毒作業,也往往無法讓X光底片達到完全無菌的清潔等級;因而在診療期間,常常因為拍攝口內X光而破壞診療無菌的環境,使病患暴露於感染風險之中。由於近年新型冠狀病毒COVID-19疫情的肆虐,如何避免與杜絕附著於將X光底片表面的病毒已然成了各醫療院所著重的課題。有鑒於此,本案創作人致力於探究感染控制之解決途徑,並提出新型的機械架構以達成無菌封裝X光底片(口內X光片)的目的及功效。 X-ray is one of the commonly used diagnosis and treatment methods in dentistry.
