Der erfindungsgemäße Schließzylinder ist damit besonders einfach aufgebaut und lässt sich einfach montieren. Eine Nacharbeit an dem handelsüblichen Einsteckschloss ist dank der Erfindung nicht erforderlich. Wenn die Profilerweiterung bis in den Bereich der Tür hineinragt, wird vor der Montage die Aufnahme in der Tür verbreitert. Alternativ dazu kann die Profilerweiterung auch auf der Oberfläche des Türblattes aufliegen oder von einer auf dem Türblatt aufliegenden Blende überdeckt werden.
