Abstract
The procedure for protection against slipping at the time of measurement of the speed of the railway vehicle involves monitoring the changing acceleration values of the vehicle. The procedure involves a first stage consisting of detecting the start of the vehicle braking and a second stage of detecting the vehicle sliding. The third stage involves increasing the sliding to a set value and monitoring the slipping so that it stabilises. The fourth stage involves detection of the vehicle sliding, and determination of a time during which the measurement of the vehicle displacement is not to be used.
