Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an artificial car velocity from being remarkably higher than the actual car velocity by changing a reference wheel speed to a wheel speed value at the time of starting a skid cycle immediately before on detecting a sudden increase such that the pressure reintensifying amount exceeds a preset value. CONSTITUTION:An anti-skid control device is adapted to set a reference gradient from a wheel speed at the time of starting a skid cycle when a wheel has a tendency to lock and a reference wheel speed before that at a deciding portion 100, take a wheel speed value on a gradient line as a car velocity at an arithmetic portion 200, reduce the brake fluid pressure of a wheel having a slip relation thereto and intensify when it returns to a normal condition. In this arrangement, when a sudden increase such that the pressure reintensifying amount becomes more than a preset value with respect to the previous pressure reintensifying amount is detected by detection means 99, the reference wheel speed is changed to a wheel speed value at the time of starting a skid cycle immediately before by changing means 50. Thus, even at the time of moving from a road having a low coefficient (mu) of surface friction to a high (mu) road, the artificial car velocity is prevented from being remarkably higher than the actual car velocity so as to accomplish accurate anti-skid control.
