Abstract
Uređaji i metode za stvaranje malih, manjih od 3 mm i preporučljivo oko 1 mm poprečnog preseka, otvora na spoljnoj kapsuli sočiva (LC) na oku sisara (E), radi omogućavanja izvlačenja/uvlačenja uređaja i/ili kanile za injektiranje mekih materijala protetskih sočiva u kapsulu sočiva (LC). Naprava se obično sastoji od ručice (18), koja nosi na sebi jednu elektrohiruršku sondu (10), koja viri unapred iz ručice. Elektrohirurška sonda (10) sadrži jedan vrh cevaste elektrode (16), koji se može postavljati u razne položaje pri dodiru sa kapsulom sočiva (LC), radi stvaranja željenog otvora u kapsuli manjeg od 3 mm. Cevasti vrh elektrode (16) može biti monopolarne ili bipolarne konstrukcije.[A device and system for creating small, less than 3 mm and preferably about 1 mm in cross dimension, openings in the anterior lens capsule (LC) of a mammalian eye (E) to facilitate insertion of lens reduction/removal device(s) and/or cannulae for injecting flowable lens replacement materials into the lens capsule (LC). The device generally comprises a handpiece (18) having an electrosurgical probe (10) extending forwardly therefrom. The electrosurgical probe (10) incorporates an annular tip electrode (16) which is positionable in contact with the lens capsule (LC), to create the desired less than 3 mm opening therein. The annular electrode tip (16) may be either monopolar or bipolar in design.
