Abstract
A heat pump (2) intended for heating is connected to an underground water supply tank (10). This tank is heat insulated by a hard foam layer (16). The fluid returned from the heat pump runs through a bundle of tubes (17) coiled on the hard foam layer (16). The tubes (17) bring the return fluid in contact with the earth so that the cold return fluid heats up to the mean temperature of the surrounding earth before it returns to the water supply tank (10).
