ケース
 本発明はケースに関する。
 特許文献1には、密閉された断熱層により、エンジンルーム上部に滞留した高温の空気からの熱を遮断して筐体内を温まり難くし、筐体内から外部へと電線を介して放熱されるリレーでの結露を抑制する電気接続箱が開示されている。

 内部のほうが外部よりも暖かい状態のケースでは、ケース内の空気が天井で冷やされることで結露が発生し得る。しかしながら、密閉された断熱層では結露抑制効果が不十分である恐れがあり、また天井全体に断熱層を設けて冷たい外気の影響を抑制しようとすると、ケース全体が縦方向に大型化してしまう。
 本発明はこのような課題に鑑みてなされたもので、より効果的に結露を抑制しつつケース全体の縦方向への大型化を抑制することを目的とする。
 本発明のある態様によれば、電子部品を内部に収容するケース部材を有し、前記内部が熱源により暖められるケースであって、前記電子部品の重力方向上側の内壁に設けられ前記内部と連通する空間を有する断熱部と、前記ケース部材とは別材料で構成された結露抑制部と、の少なくとも一方を備える、ケースが提供される。
 上記態様によれば、ケース部材内に温度差が生じると、温かい空気は膨張し密度の低下によって軽くなるので上昇し、逆に冷たい空気は下降するので、ケース部材内で対流が発生するところ、ケース部材内の温かい空気が対流によって内部と連通する空間を有する断熱部を通過することが可能になる。このため、断熱部を設けることで外部の冷たさが断熱部の底部表面(ケース内壁表面)に伝わりにくく、さらにケース部材内の温かい空気で空間を温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制し、断熱部の底部表面での結露抑制が可能になる。また、水から保護したい電子部品の重力方向上側に貫通孔を設けたので、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品にかかることを抑制でき、密閉された断熱層を天井全体に設けずに済む。また、水から保護したい電子部品の重力方向上側に結露抑制部材を設けることで、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品にかかることを抑制できる。また、結露抑制部材をケース部材の内壁に取り付けたので、ケース部材の内壁と電子部品との間のデッドスペースを有効活用できるなど、ケース全体のサイズを変更せずに済ますことが可能になる。このため、ケース全体の縦方向への大型化を抑制できる。

 以下、添付図面を参照しながら本発明の第1実施形態について説明する。
 図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係るケース1の概略構成図である。図2は、ケース1の要部の斜視図である。ケース1は車両に搭載され、電子部品2と、電子部品2を内部11に収容するケース部材10と、を有する。電子部品2は配線コネクタであり、被水によるショートや電食の発生を防止するために、水からの保護が求められる。電子部品2は、水からの保護が必要な他の電子部品であってもよい。
 ケース部材10は、例えばアルミ合金や鉄鋼材料など、アルミニウムや鉄系の金属材料により構成される。ケース部材10は一面が開口した器状であり、開口周囲に設けられたフランジ部1aと、フランジ部1aに形成された合わせ面1bとを有する。ケース部材10は、フランジ部1aを介してギアボックスケース5に側方(図1中左側)から取り付けられ、内部11に面する天井面12aを有する天井壁12と、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13と、側壁13に連なりケース部材10の開口と対向配置とされる側壁14とを有する。
 ギアボックスケース5は、ケース部材10とは別体のケースであり、減速機構や差動機構等の歯車機構を収容する。ギアボックスケース5は、開口周囲に設けられたフランジ部5aと、フランジ部5aに形成された合わせ面5bとを有し、ケース部材10は、合わせ面1b,5bを合わせた状態でボルトによりギアボックスケース5に締結される。ケース部材10内(内部11)とギアボックスケース5内(内部51)とは、フランジ部1a,5aを縁とした開口を通じて互いに連通する。
 ギアボックスケース5内には、オイルOLが貯留される。オイルOLは、歯車機構のギア等で発生する摩擦熱により熱せられた後に、ギアボックスケース5の底部内に貯留される。ギアボックスケース5の底部内に貯留されたオイルOLは、ケース部材10の内部11を暖める熱源を構成する。熱源としてのオイルOLはさらに、フランジ部1a,5aを縁とした開口を通じてケース部材10内に貯留される。従って、ケース部材10及びケース部材10に結合されるギアボックスケース5の内部空間は、オイルOLを貯留するオイル貯留部Rを有する。
 ケース部材10内には、コントロールバルブユニット3がさらに収容される。コントロールバルブユニット3は、ケース部材10及びギアボックスケース5内に収容される。コントロールバルブユニット3は、油圧アクチュエータへのオイルOLの圧力を制御する制御弁や油路を含み、ギアボックスケース5の底部内に貯留されたオイルOLは、オイルポンプによりコントロールバルブユニット3に供給される。
 図1,2に示すように、ケース部材10は、電子部品2の重力方向上側(図1中上側)の内壁IWと、内壁IWに設けられ、ケース部材10の内部11に両端が開口する貫通孔Hと、を有する。重力方向上側は、ケース1が車両に搭載された状態における重力方向上側であり、図1中上下方向は、ケース1が車両に搭載された状態における重力方向に対応する。貫通孔Hは、重力方向視で電子部品2とオーバーラップする部分を有する。重力方向や側方に関し、以下ではケース1が車両に搭載された状態であることを前提として説明する。
 内壁IWは、突出部Bを有し、貫通孔Hは、突出部Bに設けられる。突出部Bは、内壁IWを形成する天井壁12の天井面12aから内部11に向かって盛り上がった部分として形成され、重力方向視で電子部品2とオーバーラップする部分を有する。図2に示すように、突出部Bはさらに、電子部品2の重力方向上側において側壁13に側方から連なることで、電子部品2の設置部分を覆う。突出部Bは、電子部品2全体を覆うように設けられ、重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップする。なお、突出部Bは、重力方向視で電子部品2とオーバーラップする部分を有することと、側壁13に連なることと、重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップすることとの少なくともいずれかの態様で設けられたものとされてもよい。
 突出部Bは直方体状であり、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13と対向する向き(図1中奥方向)とは異なる方向を向く側壁W1からW3を有する。側壁W1,W2は、側壁13と対向する向きと交差(例えば直交)する方向(図1中左右方向)を向く側壁を構成し、側壁W3は、側壁13と対向する向きとは反対方向(図1中手前方向)を向く側壁を構成する。
 貫通孔Hは、側壁13と対向する向きと交差する側方(図1中左右方向)に沿って延びて突出部Bを貫通することで、側壁W1,W2を貫通する。貫通孔Hは、側壁W1から内部11に開口する第1開口部H1と、側壁W2から内部11に開口する第2開口部H2とを有し、第1,第2開口部H1,H2により、両端で内部11に開口する。
 図3は、対流を利用した貫通孔Hによる結露抑制の説明図である。ケース部材10内が高温で、外気が低温の場合、低温の外気によりケース部材10内の温かい空気が冷やされ、ケース部材10内の空気の飽和水蒸気量が小さくなる。結果、空気中に含み切れなくなった水分が凝縮して結露が発生する。このため、オイルOLにより暖められたケース部材10内では、冷たい外気に接触するケース部材10の壁の内面で、黒丸で示す結露が発生し得る。
 一方、ケース部材10内がオイルOLにより暖められ、ケース部材10内に温度差が生じると、温かい空気は膨張し密度の低下によって軽くなるので上昇し(実線の矢印)、逆に冷たい空気は下降するので(破線の矢印)、ケース部材10内で対流が発生する。
 ケース部材10では、このような対流を利用して結露を抑制するために、貫通孔Hは、電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWに設けられ、熱源としてのオイルOLにより暖められる内部11に両端で開口する。
 これにより、ケース部材10内の温かい空気が対流によって、内部11と連通する空間Sを有する断熱部(つまり、貫通孔Hにより形成される空間S)を通過することが可能になる。このため、断熱部を設けることで外部の冷たさが断熱部の底部表面(貫通孔Hが設けられた部分の内壁IW表面)に伝わりにくく、さらにケース部材10内の温かい空気で空間Sを温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制し、断熱部の底部表面での結露抑制が可能になる。また、水から保護したい電子部品2の重力方向上側に貫通孔Hを設けたので、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制でき、密閉された断熱層を天井壁12全体に設けずに済む。このため、ケース1全体の縦方向(重力方向)への大型化を抑制できる。
 貫通孔Hは、突出部Bに設けられている。これにより、対流の流れの中に貫通孔Hを設けることが可能になり、貫通孔Hに温かい空気を導き易くなるので、結露を抑制し易くなる。また、重力方向下側に位置する電子部品2との関係上、結露を抑制したい部分である突出部Bの底面B1は、突出部Bの厚さ(図3中上下方向の厚さ)により外気から遠ざけられるので、底面B1も冷え難くなる。
 側壁14付近のケース部材10内では、空気が冷たい外気により冷やされるため、対流が下向きになり易い。一方、暖かい空気は上昇して天井面12aにぶつかると、天井面12aに沿って横へ移動することで、冷たい空気がいなくなった側壁14に向かって流れる。
 図4は、このような天井面12a付近のケース部材10内の対流の流れを模式的に示す図であり、貫通孔Hの第1開口部H1の一端は、内部11におけるこのような対流の向き(図4中左方向)に対向して開口する。これにより、貫通孔Hに効率的に暖かい空気を送ることができるので、結露を抑制し易くなる。対流の向きは換言すれば、対流の流れの向きであり、第1開口部H1は換言すれば、対流の向きに反して、対流を妨げない向きで、流れを受け止める向きで、上流に向かって、或いは、流れ方向に向かって(例えば流れ方向から見て正面に開口するなど)、開口する。
 貫通孔Hはさらに、対流の向きに沿って延びる。これにより、貫通孔Hが対流を妨げない方向に延びるので、温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導き易くなり、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 図5は、貫通孔Hと熱源としてのオイルOLとの関係の説明図である。図5では、重力方向視で熱源としてのオイルOLとともに貫通孔Hを模式的に示す。熱源であるオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した温かい空気は、天井面12a(図4参照)にぶつかると、図5に示すように、四方八方に拡散する。
 これに対し、貫通孔Hの第1開口部H1は、重力方向視で熱源としてのオイルOLの中心に向かって開口して設けられる。このため、天井面12aにぶつかって四方八方に拡散するようにして移動する温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導くことができ、結露を抑制し易くなる。このように設けられた貫通孔Hは、天井面12a(図4参照)に沿った向きで開口する。熱源の中心(中心部)とは、例えば、熱源の中で最も温度が高温になる(温度低下し難い)場所のことであり、また熱源となる部品や場所の領域の中心部周辺のことである。
 貫通孔Hの第1開口部H1は、重力方向視で熱源としてのオイルOLとオーバーラップする位置に設けられてもよい。この場合でも、重力方向視で熱源としてのオイルOLの中心部に向かって第1開口部H1を開口させることで、第1開口部H1付近の天井面12aにぶつかって四方八方に拡散、移動する温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導くことができる。
 図3に示すように、貫通孔Hを形成する部分の突出部Bの壁の厚さTである厚さT1(貫通孔Hの底面と突出部Bの底面B1の間の厚さ)は、厚さ方向(図3中上下方向)の貫通孔Hの大きさ或いは寸法(開口高さ)と比べて、小さくなっている。厚さT1を含む突出部Bの壁の厚さTは、貫通孔Hの開口高さと比べて小さくなっている。厚さT1は、貫通孔Hの重力方向下側の重力方向に沿った突出部Bの壁の厚さであり、厚さT2は、貫通孔Hの重力方向上側の重力方向に沿った突出部Bの壁の厚さである。
 貫通孔Hは、厚さT1が貫通孔Hの開口高さよりも小さい範囲内で表面積が拡大される。このため、貫通孔Hにより形成される空間S(断熱部)が大きくなることで外気の冷たさが内部11に伝わりにくく、またケース部材10内の温かい空気が貫通孔H内に入る量が多くなるため突出部Bの温度低下の速度を遅くすることができ、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 貫通孔Hの延びる方向に直交する貫通孔Hの断面は丸く、円孔により構成される。このため、厚さT1,T2は、貫通孔Hの直径と比べて小さくなっている。ケース部材10では、丸い貫通孔Hを採用することにより、図6に矢印で示すように、ケース部材10の合わせ面1b側からドリルにより穴明け加工するだけで、貫通孔Hを設けることが可能になる。
 図2に示すように、突出部Bの底面B1(貫通孔Hの底面と電子部品2の重力方向上側にある面とで作られる底壁の外周面)は、貫通孔Hの延びる方向に直交する貫通孔Hの断面の底部の形状に沿った形状を有する。貫通孔Hは、複数(ここでは4つ)設けられ、複数の貫通孔Hは、側壁13と対向する向きに沿って並んで設けられる。このため、底面B1は波状に形成される。側壁W3の表面も、貫通孔Hに沿った形状を有し、曲面状に形成される。
 底面B1を貫通孔Hに沿った形状にすることで、底面B1の厚さを均等化でき、貫通孔Hを鋳造で製造する場合に巣が出来難い突出部Bの構造を得ることができる。また、ケース部材10では、側壁W3を含めて鋳造時に巣が出来難い突出部Bの構造を得ることができる。
 図7は、第1変形例を示す図である。第1変形例の貫通孔Hは、第1変形例の突出部Bに設けられる。第1変形例の突出部Bは、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13に連なっておらず、第1変形例の貫通孔Hは、側壁13と対向する向きの第1変形例の突出部Bの側壁W4から内部11に開口する。ケース部材10は、このような貫通孔H及び突出部Bを有することでも結露を抑制できる。
 一方、本実施形態では、図1から図3に示すように、第1開口部H1は、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13と対向する向きとは異なる方向を向く突出部Bの側壁W1から内部11に開口し、第2開口部H2は、側壁13と対向する向きとは異なる方向を向く突出部Bの側壁W2から内部11に開口する。このため、貫通孔Hを通過した対流の流れが電子部品2により阻害されることを回避でき、貫通孔H内の対流の流れが良好になる。なお、側壁W3(図1,2参照)も、側壁13と対向する向きとは異なる方向を向く。
 図8は、第2変形例を示す図である。第2変形例の貫通孔Hは、第2変形例の突出部Bに設けられ、第2変形例の貫通孔Hを形成する部分における第2変形例の突出部Bの壁の厚さT1,T2は、厚さ方向(図8中上下方向)における第2変形例の貫通孔Hの大きさ或いは寸法(開口高さ)と比べて、大きくなっている。従ってこの場合は、第2変形例の貫通孔Hと比べ、第2変形例の突出部Bの壁の厚さT1,T2は大きく、これに応じて貫通孔Hの表面積は小さくなる。一方、ケース1は、このような貫通孔H及び突出部Bを有することでも結露を抑制できる。
 図9から図12は、貫通孔Hの変形例を示す図である。図9に示すように、内壁IWは突出部Bを有していなくてもよく、貫通孔Hは、突出部Bではない部分の内壁IWに設けられてもよい。この例では、両端で天井面12aから内部11に開口する逆U字状の貫通孔Hが、内壁IWを形成する天井壁12に設けられている。第1開口部H1は、重力方向に沿って内部11に開口することで、上昇する温かい空気が天井面12aにぶつかって横に移動する前の対流の向きに反して開口する。このように構成しても、第1開口部H1により上昇する温かい空気が貫通孔Hに導かれ易くなるので、結露を抑制し易くすることができる。
 図10に示すように、貫通孔Hは、突出部Bに設けられるとともに、重力方向下側を向く第1開口部H1を有してもよい。この例でも、図9の場合と同様、第1開口部H1は、重力方向に沿って内部11に開口する。この例では、貫通孔Hは図示のような向きのL字状に形成され、第2開口部H2は、天井面12aに沿った向きで内部11に開口する。このように構成しても、図9の場合と同様、対流の向きに反して開口する第1開口部H1により、結露を抑制し易くすることができる。
 図10に示すように、突出部Bは重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップせずに、電子部品2の一部とオーバーラップしてもよい。一方、突出部Bが重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップする場合は、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを効果的に抑制できるので好ましい。
 図11に示すように、貫通孔Hは、側壁14に連なる突出部Bに設けられるとともに、天井面12aに沿った向きで内部11に開口する第1開口部H1を有してもよい。この例では、貫通孔Hは図示のような向きのL字状に形成され、第2開口部H2は、重力方向に沿った向きで内部11に開口する。このように構成しても、対流の向きに反して開口する第1開口部H1により、結露を抑制し易くすることができる。
 図12に示すように、貫通孔Hは、突出部Bに設けられるとともに、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13に対向する向きで開口する第1開口部H1を有してもよい。この例では、第1開口部H1は、上昇して天井面12aにぶつかり、天井面12aに沿って側壁13側に移動する温かい空気が形成する対流の向きに反して開口する。このように構成しても、結露を抑制し易くすることができる。第1開口部H1は、側壁13に対向する向き以外の天井面12aに沿った向きで、対流の向きに反して開口していてもよい。
 図12に示すように、貫通孔Hは四角くてもよい。貫通孔Hが四角い場合(直方体形状の場合)と、貫通孔Hが丸い場合(円柱形状の場合)とでは、同じ容積、同じ長さで比較した場合に、直方体形状の場合ほうが円柱形状の場合よりも表面積が大きくなる。
 このため、図12に示す例では、貫通孔Hが丸い場合と比べ、温かい空気との熱交換効率を高めることで、結露を効率的に抑制することが可能になる。この場合、突出部Bの底面B1をフラットにすることで、底面B1を貫通孔Hに沿った形状にすることができ、鋳造を行う場合に巣が出来難い構造を得ることができる。
 図13,14は、熱源についての変形例を示す図である。熱源は、発熱する電子部品やその他の部品であってもよい。例えば、車両走行中には高温のオイルOLがコントロールバルブユニット3内を流れるので、コントロールバルブユニット3も熱源となる。また、熱源の位置は例えば、図13に示すように電子部品2と同じ高さにあってもよく、図14に示すように電子部品2よりも高い位置にあってもよい。熱源の位置は、ケース部材10の外であってもよい。
 これらの場合でも、突出部Bに貫通孔Hを設けることで、対流の流れの中に貫通孔Hを設けることが可能になる。このため、温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導き易くなり、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 突出部Bは、貫通孔Hとともにケース部材10の鋳造の際に鋳造されてもよく、ケース部材10が鉄系の金属材料からなる場合は、貫通孔Hが形成された状態で内壁IWに溶接されてもよい。突出部Bは、貫通孔Hが形成されていない状態で、ケース部材10の鋳造の際に鋳造されるか、或いは内壁IWに溶接されてもよく、貫通孔Hが形成されていない状態の突出部Bにドリルで穴明け加工することで、貫通孔Hが設けられてもよい。突出部Bが内壁IWに溶接されていることも、内壁IWが突出部Bを有することに含まれる。
 突出部Bは、直方体状でなくてもよい。例えば、突出部Bを重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップさせつつ、電子部品2の外形に沿った形状とすれば、不要な部分を設けずに済むので、重量やコストを低減できて好ましい。
 空間Sは、ボルト等により内壁IWに隙間をもって設けられる壁部により規定されてもよい。このようにしても、対流の流れの中に空間Sを設けることが可能になる。当該壁部は電子部品2を覆う屋根のような役割も有し、結露した場合の水滴を受け止めることもできる。
 図15は、断熱部の第1変形例を示す図である。この例では、空間Sは凹部Dの内面により規定される。凹部Dは、第1開口部H1とは反対側の側壁W2に開口しない点が貫通孔Hと異なる。従ってこの例では、第2開口部H2が形成されない。この例では、断熱部は、電子部品2の内壁IWの表面に設けられケース部材10内部に向かって突出する突出部Bにより形成され、凹部Dは、突出部Bに設けられる。このようにしても、対流によりケース部材10内の温かい空気が凹部D内に流入するので、ケース部材10内の温かい空気で凹部Dの内側を温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制でき、断熱部の底部表面での結露の抑制が可能になる。
 図16は、断熱部の第2変形例を示す図である。この例では、電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWに壁部W20が設けられる。壁部W20は、断面コの字状に形成され、底壁W21と、底壁W21の幅方向(図16中左右方向)の両端部から起立する側壁W22,W23とを有する。側壁W22,W23は、底壁W21に接続する側とは反対側の端部E21,E22を有し、底壁W21から互いに略平行に延びる。
 壁部W20は、端部E21,E22で天井面12aに取り付けられる。底壁W21は天井面12aに対向配置され、側壁W22は側壁14(図1,2参照)に対向配置される。壁部W20は、ケース部材10と同じ金属材料により形成され、端部E21,E22で天井面12aに溶接される。
 壁部W20と電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWとの間には隙間Cが形成される。隙間Cは、底壁W21、側壁W22,W23、及び天井壁12に囲われた空間Sとして形成され、底壁W21と天井面12aとの間に形成される。隙間Cは、直方体状に形成される。この例では、壁部W20と上記内壁IWの表面との間の隙間Cにより規定される空間Sを有する断熱部が構成される。
 ケース部材10内で暖められて壁部W20外の隙間C付近の天井面12aにぶつかった暖かい空気は、対流によって隙間Cを通り、これにより隙間Cの内側が温められる。従って、このような壁部W20でも、壁部W20の表面での結露を抑制することが可能になる。
 隙間Cは、積層構造やハニカム構造の隙間など、複数の隙間で構成されていてもよい。隙間Cは、重力方向視で図16に示す場合とは異なる方向に延びるように形成されてもよい。
 壁部W20は樹脂で形成されるなど、ケース部材10よりも低い熱伝導率を有してもよい。これにより、対流により壁部W20の内側を暖める効果と、外気により壁部W20が冷やされ難くなる効果とにより、壁部W20の表面での結露を相乗的に抑制できる。このような場合を含め、壁部W20は、内壁IWに貼り付けられてもよい。
 次に、ケース1の主な作用効果について説明する。
 (1-1)電子部品2を内部11に収容するケース部材10を有し、内部11が熱源としてのオイルOLにより暖められるケース1は、電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWに設けられ内部11と連通する空間Sを有する断熱部(つまり、貫通孔Hにより形成される空間S)を備える。
 この構成によれば、断熱部を設けることで外部の冷たさが断熱部の底部表面に伝わりにくくなる。さらに内部11と連通する空間Sを有することで、ケース部材10内の温かい空気が対流によって空間Sを通過することが可能になり、ケース部材10内の温かい空気で空間Sの内側を温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制し、断熱部の底部表面での結露の抑制が可能になる。また、水から保護したい電子部品2の重力方向上側に空間Sを設けたので、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制でき、密閉された断熱層を天井壁12全体に設けずに済む。このため、縦方向(重力方向)へのケース1全体の大型化を抑制できる。さらに、この構成によれば、断熱部で結露を抑制している間に、周りに結露を発生させて空気内の水分量を減らし、ケース部材10内の温度が均一に低くなったときにも断熱部の結露を抑制することができる。
 (2)空間Sは、貫通孔Hの内壁により規定される。この構成によれば、断熱部内の空間Sが貫通していることで、対流により生じる温かい空気の流れを空間Sに導きやすくすることが可能となる。このため、ケース部材10内の温かい空気で貫通孔Hの内側を温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制し、断熱部の底部表面での結露の抑制が可能になる。
 (3)断熱部は、電子部品2の内壁IWの表面に設けられケース部材10の内部11に向かって突出する突出部Bにより形成され、貫通孔Hは、突出部Bに設けられる。この構成によれば、熱源としてのオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した後に天井面12aにぶつかり、四方八方に拡散するようにして移動する温かい空気の流れの中に貫通孔Hを設けることが可能になるので、温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導き易くなり、結露を抑制し易くなる。また、結露を抑制したい部分である突出部Bの底面B1は、突出部Bの厚さによって外気から遠ざけられるので、底面B1が冷え難くなる効果もある。
 (4)貫通孔Hは、内部11で発生する対流の向きに対向して開口する第1開口部H1を有する。この構成によれば、第1開口部H1が対向の向きに対向して開口することで、対流を妨げずに貫通孔Hに効率的に暖かい空気を送ることができるので、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 (5)貫通孔Hは、対流の向きに沿って延びる。この構成によれば、貫通孔Hが対流の流れを妨げない方向に延びるので、温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導き易くなり、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 (6)貫通孔Hは、重力方向視で熱源としてのオイルOLの中心部に向かって開口する第1開口部H1を有する。空気は熱源であるオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した後に天井面12aにぶつかり、四方八方に拡散するようにして移動するところ、この構成によれば、貫通孔Hが熱源としてのオイルOLの中心部に向かって開口しているので、中心部から四方八方に拡散してくる温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導くことができる。
 (7)貫通孔Hの延びる方向に直交する断面において、貫通孔Hは丸い。この構成によれば、ドリルにより穴明け加工するだけで、貫通孔Hを設けることが可能になる。
 (8)貫通孔Hの延びる方向に直交する断面において、貫通孔Hは四角くてもよい。この構成によれば、貫通孔Hが丸い場合と比べ、同じ容積、同じ長さで比較した場合に、直方体形状の場合ほうが円柱形状の場合よりも表面積が大きくなるため、温かい空気との熱交換効率を高めることができ、結露を効率的に抑制することが可能になる。
 (9)貫通孔Hは、突出部Bの側壁W1,W2に内部11に開口する第1,第2開口部H1,H2を有し、第1,第2開口部H1,H2は、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13と対向する向きとは異なる方向に向かって開口する。この構成によれば、貫通孔Hを通過した温かい空気の流れが電子部品2により阻害されることを回避でき、貫通孔Hにおける温かい空気の流れが良好になる。
 (10)ケース部材10には、別体のケースとしてのギアボックスケース5が結合され、貫通孔Hは、ギアボックスケース5に向かって開口する第1開口部H1を有する。この構成によれば、本実施形態のようにギアボックスケース5側に熱源となるオイルOLのオイル貯留部Rがある場合やコントロールバルブユニット3がある場合において、第1開口部H1が熱源としてのオイルOLに向かって開口されることとなり、対流によって貫通孔Hに効率的に暖かい空気を送ることができるので、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 (11)ケース部材10には、別体のケースとしてのギアボックスケース5が結合され、結合されたギアボックスケース5によってともに規定される内部空間(つまり、内部11及び内部51)にオイル貯留部Rを有し、貫通孔Hは、重力方向視でオイル貯留部Rの中心部に向かって開口する第1開口部H1を有する。空気は熱源であるオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した後に天井面12aにぶつかり、四方八方に拡散するようにして移動するところ、この構成によれば、第1開口部H1がオイル貯留部Rの中心部に向かって開口しているので、オイル貯留部R中心の直上部から四方八方に拡散してくる温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導くことができる。
 (12)貫通孔Hは、ケース部材10の天井に沿って延びる。この構成によれば、熱源としてのオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した後に天井面12aにぶつかり、天井に沿って四方八方に拡散するようにして移動する温かい空気を貫通孔Hに導くことができる。
 (13)貫通孔Hの底壁を形成する部分の厚さT1は、貫通孔Hの開口高さと比べて薄い。この構成によれば、貫通孔Hにより形成される空間Sが大きくなることで外気の冷たさが突出部Bの底面B1に伝わりにくく、またケース部材10内の温かい空気が貫通孔H内に入る量が多くなるため突出部Bの底面B1の温度低下の速度を遅くすることができ、結露を抑制し易くなる。
 (14)突出部Bの底面B1は、貫通孔Hの延びる方向に直交する貫通孔Hの断面の底部の形状に沿った形状を有する。この構成によれば、貫通孔Hの底壁の厚さを均等化でき、貫通孔Hを鋳造で製造する場合に巣が出来難い突出部Bの構造を得ることができる。
 (15)空間Sは、凹部Dの内壁により規定されてもよい。この構成によれば、凹部Dはケース部材10の内部11と連通しているので、対流によりケース部材10内の温かい空気が凹部D内に流入する。このため、ケース部材10内の温かい空気で凹部Dの内側を温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制し、断熱部の底部表面での結露の抑制が可能になる。
 (16)この場合、断熱部は、電子部品2の内壁IWの表面に設けられケース部材10内部に向かって突出する突出部Bにより形成され、凹部Dは、突出部Bに設けられる構成とすることができる。この構成によれば、熱源としてのオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した後に天井面12aにぶつかり、四方八方に拡散するようにして移動する温かい空気の流れの中に凹部Dを設けることが可能になるので、温かい空気を凹部Dに導き易くなり、結露を抑制し易くなる。また、結露を抑制したい部分である突出部Bの底面B1は、突出部Bの厚さによって外気から遠ざけられるので、底面B1が冷え難くなる効果もある。
 (17)ケース部材10は、電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWに設けられた壁部W20を備え、断熱部は、壁部W20と当該内壁IWの表面との間の隙間Cにより規定される空間Sを有する構成とされてもよい。この構成によれば、ケース部材10内の暖められた空気が対流により隙間Cを通り、隙間Cの内側が温められることで、壁部W20の外周表面での結露を抑制することが可能になる。
 (第2実施形態)
 以下、添付図面を参照しながら本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。
 図17は、本発明の第2実施形態に係るケース1の概略構成図である。図18は、ケース1の要部の斜視図である。ケース1は車両に搭載され、電子部品2と、電子部品2を内部11に収容するケース部材10とを有する。電子部品2は配線コネクタであり、被水によるショートや電食の発生を防止するために、水からの保護が求められる。電子部品2は、水からの保護が必要な他の電子部品であってもよい。
 ケース部材10は、例えばアルミ合金や鉄鋼材料など、アルミニウムや鉄系の金属材料により構成される。ケース部材10は一面が開口した器状であり、開口周囲に設けられたフランジ部10aと、フランジ部10aに形成された合わせ面10bとを有する。ケース部材10は、フランジ部10aを介してギアボックスケース5に側方(図17中左側)から取り付けられ、内部11に面する天井面12aを有する天井壁12と、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13と、側壁13に連なりケース部材10の開口と対向配置される側壁14とを有する。
 ギアボックスケース5は、減速機構や差動機構等の歯車機構を収容する。ギアボックスケース5は、開口周囲に設けられたフランジ部5aと、フランジ部5aに形成された合わせ面5bとを有し、ケース部材10は、合わせ面5b,10bを合わせた状態でボルトによりギアボックスケース5に締結される。ケース部材10内(内部11)とギアボックスケース5内(内部51)とは、フランジ部5a,10aを縁とした開口を通じて互いに連通する。
 ギアボックスケース5内には、オイルOLが貯留される。オイルOLは、歯車機構のギア等で発生する摩擦熱により熱せられた後に、ギアボックスケース5の底部内に貯留される。ギアボックスケース5の底部内に貯留されたオイルOLは、ケース部材10の内部11を暖める熱源を構成する。熱源としてのオイルOLはさらに、フランジ部5a,10aを縁とした開口を通じてケース部材10内に貯留される。
 ケース部材10内には、コントロールバルブユニット3がさらに収容される。コントロールバルブユニット3は、ケース部材10及びギアボックスケース5内に収容される。コントロールバルブユニット3は、油圧アクチュエータへのオイルOLの圧力を制御する制御弁や油路を含み、ギアボックスケース5の底部内に貯留されたオイルOLは、オイルポンプによりコントロールバルブユニット3に供給される。
 ケース部材10内を暖める熱源は、発熱する電子部品やその他の部品であってもよい。例えば、車両走行中には高温のオイルOLがコントロールバルブユニット3内を流れるので、コントロールバルブユニット3も熱源となる。また、熱源の位置は、電子部品2と同じ高さにあってもよく、電子部品2よりも高い位置にあってもよい。熱源の位置は、ケース部材10の外であってもよく、ケース部材10内を暖めることができればよい。
 図17,18に示すように、ケース部材10は、電子部品2の重力方向上側(図17中上側)の内壁IWを有し、電子部品2の重力方向上側におけるケース部材10の内壁IWには、ケース部材10とは別材料の結露抑制部Mが取り付けられる。重力方向上側は、ケース1が車両に搭載された状態における重力方向上側であり、図17中上下方向は、ケース1が車両に搭載された状態における重力方向に対応する。重力方向や側方に関し、以下ではケース1が車両に搭載された状態であることを前提として説明する。
 結露抑制部Mは、結露を抑制可能な部材であり、ケース部材10と比べて結露し難い材料により形成されることで、結露を抑制可能とされる。結露抑制部Mは、電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWを形成する天井面12aに取り付けられ、重力方向視で電子部品2とオーバーラップする部分を有する。結露抑制部Mはさらに、電子部品2の重力方向上側において側壁13の内面13aに側方から当接することで、電子部品2の設置部分を覆う。結露抑制部Mは、電子部品2全体を覆うように設けられ、重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップする。なお、本実施形態では、結露抑制部Mは直方体状であるが、その他の形状であってもよい。また、結露抑制部Mは、重力方向視で電子部品2とオーバーラップする部分を有することと、側壁13の内面13aに当接することと、重力方向視で電子部品2全体とオーバーラップすることとの少なくともいずれかの態様で設けられたものとされてもよい。
 ケース1では、水から保護したい電子部品2の重力方向上側に結露抑制部Mを設けたので、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。また、結露抑制部Mをケース部材10の内壁IWに取り付けたので、ケース部材10の内壁IWと電子部品2との間のデッドスペースを有効活用でき、ケース1全体のサイズを変更せずに済むので、ケース1全体の縦方向(重力方向)への大型化を抑制できる。さらに、ケース部材10とは別材料の結露抑制部Mを設けたので、ケース部材10の壁を二重にするなど、ケース部材10を複雑な構造に変更することなく、結露を抑制することが可能になる。
 結露抑制部Mは、ケース部材10の内壁IWに貼り付けられる。結露抑制部Mは例えば、接着剤により内壁IWに貼り付けることができる。結露抑制部Mは、内壁IWを形成する天井面12aに貼り付けられる。結露抑制部Mはさらに、内壁IWを形成する側壁13の内面13aに貼り付けられてもよい。
 結露抑制部Mは、内壁IWに貼り付けるだけなので、結露抑制部Mを内壁IWに取り付けるためのケース部材10の設計変更は不要となる。また、貼り付けるだけなので、設置が簡単で、設置場所の自由度も高い。
 結露抑制部Mは、樹脂により形成される。樹脂としては、PPS樹脂、ナイロン樹脂、フェノール樹脂、エポキシ樹脂等を用いることができる。例えば、結露抑制部Mに柔らかい樹脂を使用した場合には、ケース部材10の内壁IWの取付面の形状(凹凸等)に合わせて結露抑制部Mを取り付けることが可能で、取付位置の自由度が高い。
 樹脂は金属よりも熱伝導率が低く、結露抑制部Mの熱伝導率は、ケース部材10の熱伝導率よりも低い。これにより、ケース部材10内が高温で、ケース部材10外が低温の場合に、ケース部材10が外気により冷やされても、熱伝導率が低い結露抑制部Mは冷やされ難くなる。このため、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を抑制でき、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。
 結露抑制部Mの熱伝導率は、樹脂以外の材料により、ケース部材10の熱伝導率よりも低くされてもよい。結露抑制部Mには、樹脂のほか、例えばゴムや不織布を用いることができる。
 図19は、ケース1の変形例を示す図である。結露抑制部Mは、埋め込みにより内壁IWに取り付けられてもよい。この例では、結露抑制部Mが内部11に露出した状態で天井壁12に埋め込まれる。結露抑制部Mは例えば、天井面12aに開口する穴12bを天井壁12に設け、結露抑制部Mを穴12bに設置することで、天井壁12に埋め込まれる。この例では、結露抑制部Mは、ケース部材10内のデッドスペースを利用して取り付けられる代わりに、天井壁12に埋め込まれる。
 このようにしても、電子部品2の重力方向上側に設けられた結露抑制部Mにより結露を抑制できる。従って、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。また、このようにしても、ケース1全体のサイズを変更せずに済むので、ケース1全体の縦方向への大型化を抑制できる。
 図20は、結露抑制部Mの第1変形例を示す図である。結露抑制部Mは、溶接により内壁IWに取り付けられてもよく、また、以下で説明する対流を利用して結露を抑制可能にされてもよい。
 この例では、結露抑制部Mが断面L字状に形成され、底壁W11と、底壁W11の幅方向(図20中左右方向)の一端部(図20中左側の端部)から起立する側壁W12とを有する。底壁W11は、側壁W12が起立する側とは反対側の端部E11を有し、側壁W12は、底壁W11に接続する側とは反対側の端部E12を有する。
 結露抑制部Mは、端部E11,E12で電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWに取り付けられ、端部E11は側壁13の内面13aに、端部E12は天井面12aにそれぞれ取り付けられる。底壁W11は天井面12aに対向配置され、側壁W12は側壁13の内面13aに対向配置される。結露抑制部Mは、ケース部材10とは別の金属材料により形成され、端部E11は側壁13の内面13aに、端部E12は天井面12aにそれぞれ溶接される。つまりこの例では、異種材料の接合により結露抑制部Mがケース部材10に取り付けられている。
 結露抑制部Mと内壁IWとの間には隙間C1が形成される。隙間C1は、底壁W11、側壁W12、天井壁12、及び側壁13に囲まれた空間として形成され、底壁W11と天井面12aとの間の隙間として形成されるとともに、側壁W12と側壁13の内面13aとの間の隙間として形成される。隙間C1は、直方体状に形成され、天井面12aに沿って延びる。この例では、次に説明するようにして、結露抑制部Mによる対流を利用した結露の抑制が行われる。
 図21は、第1変形例の結露抑制部Mによる結露抑制の説明図である。ケース部材10内が高温で、外気が低温の場合、低温の外気によりケース部材10内の温かい空気が冷やされ、ケース部材10内の空気の飽和水蒸気量が小さくなる。結果、空気中に含み切れなくなった水分が凝縮して結露が発生する。このため、熱源としてのオイルOLにより暖められたケース部材10内では、冷たい外気に接触するケース部材10の壁の内面で、黒丸で示す結露が発生し得る。
 一方、ケース部材10内がオイルOLにより暖められ、ケース部材10内に温度差が生じると、温かい空気は膨張し密度の低下によって軽くなるので上昇し(実線の矢印)、逆に冷たい空気は下降するので(破線の矢印)、ケース部材10内で対流が発生する。
 第1変形例では、結露抑制部Mと内壁IWとの間に隙間C1があるので、ケース部材10内の暖められた空気が対流によって隙間C1を通り、隙間C1の内側が温められる。このため、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を抑制することが可能になる。このように、結露抑制部Mは、対流を利用して結露を抑制可能にされてもよい。
 ケース部材10内で暖められて上昇した温かい空気は、天井面12aにぶつかると、天井面12aに沿って四方八方に拡散、移動する。
 これに対し、隙間C1は、内部11で発生する対流の向きに対向して結露抑制部M外の内部11に連通する。これにより、隙間C1に温かい空気を効率的に送ることができる。また、隙間C1は、対流の向きに沿って延びる。これにより、隙間C1が対流の流れを妨げない方向に延びるので、隙間C1に温かい空気を導き易くなる。
 隙間C1は、重力方向視で熱源としてのオイルOL(図17参照)の中心に向かって結露抑制部M外の内部11に連通する。このようにすれば、熱源としてのオイルOL付近からオイルOLにより暖められて上昇した後に天井面12aにぶつかり、四方八方に拡散するようにして移動する温かい空気を隙間C1に導くことができる。熱源としてのオイルOLの中心は、ケース部材10に設けられオイルOLを貯留する貯留部の中心とすることができる。
 隙間C1は、電子部品2が設けられた側壁13と対向する向きとは異なる向きで、結露抑制部M外の内部11に連通する。隙間C1は、側壁13に向かって結露抑制部M外の内部11に連通するとともに、フランジ部10a(図17参照)を縁とした開口に向かって結露抑制部M外の内部11に連通する。このようにすれば、隙間C1を通過した対流の流れが電子部品2により阻害されることを回避でき、隙間C1における温かい空気の流れが良好になる。
 図21は、結露抑制部Mの第2変形例を示す図である。この例では、結露抑制部Mが断面コの字状(U字状)に形成され、底壁W21と、底壁W21の幅方向(図21中左右方向)の両端部から起立する側壁W22,W23とを有する。側壁W22,W23は、底壁W21に接続する側とは反対側の端部E21,E22を有し、底壁W21から互いに略平行に延びる。
 結露抑制部Mは、端部E21,E22で天井面12aに取り付けられる。底壁W21は天井面12aに対向配置され、側壁W22は側壁14(図17,18参照)に対向配置される。結露抑制部Mは、ケース部材10と同じ金属材料により形成され、端部E21,E22で天井面12aに溶接される。
 結露抑制部Mと内壁IWとの間には隙間C2が形成される。隙間C2は、底壁W21、側壁W22,W23、及び天井壁12に囲われた空間として形成され、底壁W21と天井面12aとの間に形成される。隙間C2は、直方体状に形成される。
 ケース部材10内で暖められて結露抑制部M外の隙間C2付近の天井面12aにぶつかった暖かい空気は、対流によって隙間C2を通り、これにより隙間C2の内側が温められる。従って、このような結露抑制部Mでも、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を抑制することが可能になる。
 隙間C2は、積層構造やハニカム構造の隙間など、複数の隙間で構成されていてもよい。隙間C1(図21参照)についても同様である。隙間C2は、重力方向視で図22に示す場合とは異なる方向に延びるように形成されてもよい。
 図20,図22に示す第1,2変形例において、結露抑制部Mは樹脂で形成されるなど、ケース部材10よりも低い熱伝導率を有してもよい。これにより、対流により結露抑制部Mの内側を暖める効果と、外気により結露抑制部Mが冷やされ難くなる効果とにより、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を相乗的に抑制できる。また、このような場合を含め、第1,2変形例における結露抑制部Mは、内壁IWに貼り付けられてもよい。
 次に、ケース1の主な作用効果について説明する。
 (1-2)ケース1は、電子部品2と、電子部品2を内部11に収容するケース部材10と、を有し、電子部品2の重力方向上側におけるケース部材10の内壁IWには、ケース部材10とは別材料の結露抑制部Mが取り付けられている。
 ここで、内部のほうが外部よりも暖かい状態のケースでは、ケース内の空気が天井で冷やされることで結露が発生し得る。しかしながら、天井全体に断熱層を設けて冷たい外気の影響を抑制しようとすると、ケース全体が縦方向に大型化してしまう。
 これに対して、この構成によれば、水から保護したい電子部品2の重力方向上側に結露抑制部Mを設けたので、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。また、結露抑制部Mをケース部材10の内壁IWに取り付けたので、ケース部材10の内壁IWと電子部品2との間のデッドスペースを有効活用できるなど、ケース1全体のサイズを変更せずに済ますことが可能になり、ケース1全体の縦方向への大型化を抑制できる。
 (18)結露抑制部Mは、内壁IWに貼り付けられる。この構成によれば、結露抑制部Mをケース部材10の内壁IWに貼り付けるだけで結露を抑制できるので、ケース部材10の設計変更を不要にできる。また、設置が簡単で、設置場所の自由度も高い。
 (19)結露抑制部Mの熱伝導率は、ケース部材10の熱伝導率より低い。この構成によれば、ケース部材10内が高温で、ケース部材10外が低温の場合に、ケース部材10が外気により冷やされても、熱伝導率が低い結露抑制部Mは冷やされ難くなる。このため、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を抑制でき、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。
 (20)結露抑制部Mは樹脂であり、ケース部材10は金属である。この構成によれば、ケース部材10内が高温で、ケース部材10外が低温の場合に、ケース部材10が外気により冷やされても、熱伝導率が低い結露抑制部Mは冷やされ難くなるので、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を抑制でき、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。また、例えば結露抑制部Mに柔らかい樹脂を使用した場合には、ケース部材10の内壁IWの取付面の形状(凹凸等)に合わせて結露抑制部Mを取り付けることが可能で、取付位置の自由度が高い。
 (21)結露抑制部Mと内壁IWとの間には、隙間C1,C2があってもよい。この構成によれば、ケース部材10内の暖められた空気が対流により隙間C1,C2を通り、隙間C1,C2の内側が温められることで、結露抑制部Mの表面での結露を抑制することが可能になる。
 以上の第1及び第2実施形態によれば、以下に示す作用効果を奏する。
 (1)電子部品2を内部11に収容するケース部材10を有し、内部11が熱源により暖められるケース1は、電子部品2の重力方向上側の内壁IWに設けられ内部11と連通する空間Sを有する断熱部(つまり、貫通孔Hにより形成される空間S)と、ケース部材10とは別材料で構成された結露抑制部Mと、の少なくとも一方を備える。
 この構成によれば、ケース部材10内に温度差が生じると、温かい空気は膨張し密度の低下によって軽くなるので上昇し、逆に冷たい空気は下降するので、ケース部材10内で対流が発生するところ、ケース部材10内の温かい空気が対流によって内部と連通する空間Sを有する断熱部を通過することが可能になる。このため、断熱部を設けることで外部の冷たさが断熱部の底部表面(ケース内壁表面)に伝わりにくく、さらにケース部材10内の温かい空気で空間Sを温めることで、断熱部の底部表面の温度低下を抑制し、断熱部の底部表面での結露抑制が可能になる。また、水から保護したい電子部品2の重力方向上側に貫通孔Hを設けたので、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制でき、密閉された断熱層を天井全体に設けずに済む。また、水から保護したい電子部品2の重力方向上側に結露抑制部Mを設けることで、結露由来の水滴が落下して電子部品2にかかることを抑制できる。また、結露抑制部Mをケース部材10の内壁IWに取り付けたので、ケース部材10の内壁IWと電子部品2との間のデッドスペースを有効活用できるなど、ケース1全体のサイズを変更せずに済ますことが可能になる。このため、ケース1全体の縦方向への大型化を抑制できる。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、上記実施形態は本発明の適用例の一部を示したに過ぎず、本発明の技術的範囲を上記実施形態の具体的構成に限定する趣旨ではない。

     前記結露抑制部の熱伝導率は、前記ケース部材の熱伝導率より低い、

  20.  請求項19に記載のケースであって、
     前記結露抑制部は樹脂であり、前記ケース部材は金属である、

  21.  請求項1に記載のケースであって、
     前記結露抑制部と前記内壁との間には隙間がある、
