Description

マグネットグリッパ及び産業用ロボット
 本開示は、マグネットグリッパ及び産業用ロボットに関する。
 鋼板等の磁性を有するワークの搬送に、マグネットグリッパが使用される。例えば、国際公開第2018/200948号には、磁石の回転運動により、ワークの吸着又は解放を行うマグネットグリッパが記載されている。
 大型のワークを搬送する場合には、マグネットグリッパがワークの重量を持ち上げるのに十分な吸着力を有していても、ワークの縁等に力が加わった場合に簡単に剥離する。また、単一のマグネットグリッパで大型のワークを無理に吸着すると、ワークの変形や搬送中の振動を生じる場合があり、安定した搬送が行えない。
 上記の問題を回避するべく、マグネットグリッパを複数使用することが考えられる。しかしながら、複数のマグネットグリッパを使用する場合には、磁石を駆動するための電磁アクチュエータ又は電動モータが必要となる。この場合は、多数の電磁アクチュエータ又は電動モータを駆動するために、それぞれ駆動回路が必要とされ、装置コストが増大する。さらに、複数の駆動回路を産業用イーサネット等の通信回線で統合する場合に、システム構成の複雑化を招くという問題がある。
 本開示は、上記した課題を解決することを目的とする。
 本開示の第1の態様は、吸着面に平行な回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第1磁石を有する第1グリッパユニットと、前記回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第2磁石を有する第2グリッパユニットと、前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石とを連結して前記回転軸線を中心に前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石とを回転させる回転シャフトと、を備え、前記第1グリッパユニットと前記第2グリッパユニットとは、前記第1磁石の磁力による吸着力と前記第2磁石の磁力による吸着力とが互いに影響を受けない距離に離れて配置されている、マグネットグリッパである。
 本開示の第2の態様は、第1の態様によるマグネットグリッパと、前記マグネットグリッパを保持しつつ駆動するロボットアームと、を備えた、産業用ロボットである。
 本開示のマグネットグリッパ及び産業用ロボットは、重量の増大を抑制し、装置コストを抑制しつつ、大型のワークを安定して搬送できる。

(第1実施形態)
 図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る産業用ロボット10は、複数の関節12aで可動する多軸多関節のロボットアーム12と、ロボットアーム12の先端に取り付けられたマグネットグリッパ14とを備える。このような産業用ロボット10は、例えば、自動車工場の製造ライン等で、鋼板や各種部品等の磁性を有するワークWの搬送に利用される。図1のマグネットグリッパ14は、薄板状のワークWの吸着に好適な形状を、その一態様として示している。
 図2に示すように、マグネットグリッパ14は、第1グリッパユニット16と、第2グリッパユニット16Aと、回転シャフト20と、駆動機構22と、中間ハウジング24と、を備える。マグネットグリッパ14は、第1グリッパユニット16と第2グリッパユニット16Aとの2箇所でワークWを吸着して保持する。なお、第1グリッパユニット16と第2グリッパユニット16Aとは、互いの磁力(吸着力)が実質的に及ばない距離に離間して配置されている。以下の説明において、部材の形状と配置関係を明確にするために、互いに直交する3方向を示す方向として、軸線方向、幅方向、及び吸着方向との用語が使用される。
 軸線方向は、ワークWの表面と平行な方向であり、磁石の回転軸線及び回転シャフト20と平行な方向である。幅方向は、ワークWの表面に対して平行であり、回転軸線及び回転シャフト20に垂直な方向(図2において紙面に垂直な方向)である。吸着方向は、回転軸線及び回転シャフト20に直交し、かつ、ワークWの表面に対して垂直な方向である。なお、吸着方向において、ワークWに接近する方向は、下と呼ばれ、ワークWから離れる方向は上と呼ばれる。なお、上、下との用語は、マグネットグリッパ14の構成部材の配置関係を説明するために使用され、マグネットグリッパ14の配置方向を限定するものではない。
 第1グリッパユニット16は、第1ヨーク26と、第1磁石28と、一対のポールピース30とを有する。第1ヨーク26は、透磁率が高い磁性材料によって形成されている。第1ヨーク26は、軸線方向の第1方向に第1端面26aを有し、第2方向に第2端面26bを有する。第1端面26a及び第2端面26bは、軸線方向に垂直な平面によって形成される。また、第1ヨーク26は、吸着方向のワーク側に位置する下面26cと、吸着方向の反ワーク側に位置する上面26dとを有する。下面26c及び上面26dは、吸着方向に垂直な平面によって形成される。さらに、図3Aに示されるように、第1ヨーク26は、幅方向の一方に第1側部26eを有し、幅方向の他方に第2側部26fを有する。
 第1ヨーク26の第1側部26eには、凹部26gが形成され、第1ヨーク26の第2側部26fには、凹部26hが形成されている。凹部26g、26hには、それぞれポールピース30が嵌め込まれて固定されている。
 ポールピース30は、透磁率が高い磁性材料によって形成された板状部材である。ポールピース30の下端部は、第1ヨーク26の下面26cよりさらにワーク側に向けて突出する。一対のポールピース30は、ワークWに当接して、第1磁石28の磁束をワークWに伝える。ポールピース30の下端部は、所定平面(吸着面)に沿って配置されている。吸着面は、軸線方向に平行であり、かつ、吸着方向に垂直である。ポールピース30は、図示しないネジ又はボルト等の取り外し可能な締結部材で第1ヨーク26に取り外し可能に固定されている。そのため、ポールピース30は、交換可能であり、摩耗等によりその形状が変化した場合には、交換が可能である。
 第1ヨーク26は、幅方向及び吸着方向の中央部に、収容室34を有する。収容室34は、軸線方向からみて円形に形成されている。収容室34は、軸線方向に延び、第1端面26aから第2端面26bを貫通する。収容室34は、第1磁石28を収容する。収容室34の内周面は、第1磁石28の回転半径の外側に位置するため、第1磁石28の回転変位を妨げない。
 第1ヨーク26には、さらに、エアギャップ部36が形成されている。エアギャップ部36は、第1ヨーク26の幅方向の中央に位置する。エアギャップ部36は、第1ヨーク26において、磁束が通過しにくい部分であり、第1ヨーク26の幅方向への磁束の通過を妨げる。エアギャップ部36は、第1磁石28の一対の磁極が幅方向を向いたときに、第1ヨーク26を通じた磁気回路の短絡を防いで、磁束をポールピース30に向かわせる。
 本実施形態において、エアギャップ部36は、第1溝36aと第2溝36bとを有する。第1溝36aは、収容室34の下側に位置し、収容室34を向いた溝であり、軸線方向に延在する。第1溝36aは、軸線方向からみて半円状の断面形状を有する。第2溝36bは、収容室34の上側に位置し、収容室34を向いた溝であり、軸線方向に延在する。第2溝36bは、軸線方向から見て半円状の断面形状を有する。なお、第1溝36a及び第2溝36bの溝は、半円状に限定されるものではなく、第1ヨーク26を幅方向に通過する磁束の通過に対して抵抗を付与できる範囲で、適宜の形状を選択できる。
 エアギャップ部36において、溝の部分は、透磁率の低い空気で満たされており、磁束を通過させる磁性材料の断面積が減少している。ただし、本実施形態の第1ヨーク26は、エアギャップ部36によって完全に分断されておらず、薄い磁性体壁によって一体的に繋がっている。このような構成により、収容室34は、下面26c及び上面26dに開口せず、外部から気密及び液密に隔離されている。このような構造は、収容室34への水や塵埃の侵入防止を容易にする。なお、エアギャップ部36は、下面26c及び上面26dに形成されてもよい。この場合には、収容室34には溝が形成されなくてもよい。また、エアギャップ部36は、下面26cと収容室34との間と、上面26dと収容室34との間にそれぞれ形成された、軸線方向に貫通する貫通孔として形成されてもよい。
 第1磁石28は、複数の円板状の磁石片28aを有する。複数の磁石片28aは、軸線方向に所定の間隔をあけて配置されており、回転シャフト20を通じて軸線方向に互いに固定されて第1磁石28を構成する。各々の磁石片28aは、N極の中心が周方向の同一位置(回転方向の同一角度)となるように、直径方向に磁化されている。磁石片28aを軸線方向に互いに間隔をあけて配置すると、磁束が広がり、比較的広い部分に吸着力を発生できるため、大型のワークWを比較的少数の磁石で吸着できる。なお、ワークWが厚く重い場合には、複数の磁石片28aを軸線方向に密着させてより強い磁束密度を発揮する態様で第1磁石28を構成してもよい。
 第1磁石28において、図示の例では、複数の磁石片28aの連結に回転シャフト20を使用する例を示したが、本実施形態はこれに限定されるものではない。第1磁石28は、例えば、回転シャフト20と連結可能な別個のロッド、枠体、円板等の部材で複数の磁石片28aを連結して構成されてもよい。また、第1磁石28は、軸線方向に長く延びた円柱状の単一の磁石片28aによって構成されてもよい。
 図2及び図3Bに示されるように、第2グリッパユニット16Aは、第2ヨーク26Aと、第2磁石28Aと、ポールピース30と、エアギャップ部36Aと、を有する。第2ヨーク26A、第2磁石28A、ポールピース30及びエアギャップ部36Aは、それぞれ第1グリッパユニット16の、第1ヨーク26、第1磁石28、ポールピース30、及びエアギャップ部36と同一形状及び同一寸法に形成される。第2グリッパユニット16Aの構成において、第1グリッパユニット16の構成と同様の構成の説明は省略される。
 第2磁石28Aは、N極の周方向の中心位置(回転方向の角度)は、第1磁石28のN極の周方向の中心位置(回転方向の角度)と同一となっている。また、第2磁石28Aは、S極の周方向の中心位置が、第1磁石28のS極の周方向の中心位置と同一となっている。なお、第2磁石28AのN極の周方向の中心位置は、第1磁石28のN極の周方向の中心位置に対して180°異なってもよい。
 第2グリッパユニット16Aは、第1グリッパユニット16の第1磁石28の磁力が実質的に到達しない距離だけ、第1グリッパユニット16から離間している。ここで、第1磁石28の磁力が実質的に到達しない距離は、第1磁石28の磁束が、第2グリッパユニット16Aの各部材との間で吸着力に影響を及ぼす程度の磁気的な結合や磁気回路を生じない距離である。
 第1グリッパユニット16と第2グリッパユニット16Aとの距離は、把持対象とするワークWの寸法によって設定される。一つの態様では、第2グリッパユニット16Aの軸線方向の中心と、第1グリッパユニット16の軸線方向の中心とは、ワークWの重心を挟んで配置される。この場合、第1グリッパユニット16の軸線方向の中心と第2グリッパユニット16Aの軸線方向の中心との距離は、ワークWの長手方向の寸法の1/3以上、より好ましくは1/2以上、さらに好ましくは2/3以上とすることができる。このように配置された第1グリッパユニット16及び第2グリッパユニット16Aは、薄板状のワークWを変形させたり、振動させたりすることなく安定して搬送できる。
 図2に示されるように、回転シャフト20は、回転軸線に沿って軸線方向に延びる。本実施形態において、回転シャフト20は、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aを軸線方向に貫通する。回転シャフト20は、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aと連結されており、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aは、回転シャフト20によって一体的に回転する。回転シャフト20の軸線方向の一方の端部20aは、第1磁石28から突出している。回転シャフト20の端部20aには、駆動機構22が接続されている。
 駆動機構22は、回転シャフト20に接続され、回転シャフト20を回転軸線回りに回転させる。駆動機構22は、駆動モータ38と、伝達機構40とを備える。駆動モータ38は、第1グリッパユニット16の第1ヨーク26の上に取り付けられている。伝達機構40は、例えば、プーリー40a、40bとベルト40cとを備えている。プーリー40aは、駆動モータ38の駆動軸部38aに接続され、プーリー40bは回転シャフト20に接続されている。ベルト40cは、プーリー40aとプーリー40bとに掛け渡されており、駆動モータ38の駆動軸部38aの回転を回転シャフト20に伝達する。なお、伝達機構40は、スプロケットとチェーン等で構成されてもよく、あるいは、歯車(ギヤ)若しくはカップリングによる同軸連結機構で構成されてもよい。
 本実施形態のマグネットグリッパ14は、以上のように構成される。なお、図示の例では、第1グリッパユニット16及び第2グリッパユニット16Aの端部に収容室34、34Aが開口していたが、図示しないエンドキャップで収容室34、34Aが液密及び気密に封じられてもよい。このように構成することで、高い防水性能が得られる。
 以下、マグネットグリッパ14の動作について説明が行われる。
 図4A~図5に示されるように、マグネットグリッパ14は、図示しない制御装置の制御下に、駆動機構22が回転シャフト20を回転させて、ワークWの吸着と、ワークWの解放とを行う。ワークWを吸着させる場合には、図4Aに示されるように、第1グリッパユニット16の第1磁石28のN極及びS極(着磁方向)が、幅方向を向くように第1磁石28が回転される。このとき、第2グリッパユニット16Aの第2磁石28AのN極及びS極も幅方向を向く。
 図示のように、第1磁石28の磁極から流出する磁力線は第1ヨーク26に流れる。第1ヨーク26は、エアギャップ部36によって幅方向に磁気的に分断されているため、大部分の磁束はポールピース30に向かい、ポールピース30の下端から磁束が放出される。ポールピース30から放出された磁束は、磁性を有するワークWを流れる。これにより、ワークWが第1グリッパユニット16に吸着される。同様に、第2グリッパユニット16Aにおいても、第2磁石28Aの磁力線の大部分はワークWを流れ、第2グリッパユニット16AがワークWを吸着する。
 マグネットグリッパ14は、図4Bに示すように、第1磁石28(第2磁石28A)の一対の磁極を吸着方向に向けると、第1磁石28(第2磁石28A)の磁力線が第1ヨーク26(第2ヨーク26A)の内部で短絡する。そのため、一対のポールピース30に磁場が漏洩しなくなり、ワークWに対する吸着力が減少する。その結果、マグネットグリッパ14は、ワークWの吸着を解除する。
 ワークWの磁気特性によっては、ワークWが吸着の際の磁場による磁化が残り、図4Bの配置とするだけでは、ワークWの吸着が解除されない場合がある。このような場合には、駆動機構22は、図4Bの位置から図4Cの位置に第1磁石28(第2磁石28A)を回転させる。図4Cの位置では、一対のポールピース30から、図4Aの場合と逆向きの微弱な磁場が放たれ、ワークWの磁化が消磁される。これにより、ワークWが磁化した場合であっても、マグネットグリッパ14は、ワークWの吸着状態を解除できる。
 なお、例えば、ワークWに磁性フレークを含む塗料の塗布が行われる場合には、ワークWの磁化の残留をより小さくすることが望まれる。この場合には、マグネットグリッパ14による消磁は、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aの磁極が吸着方向を向いた回転角度θ=90°を中心に、角度+θと角度-θとの間で往復移動(回転運動)させつつ行われる。その際に、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aは、回転角度θの絶対値が徐々に0に近づくように動作され、最終的に角度90°で停止される。このような消磁動作により、ワークWの磁化の方向が複数回の反転を繰り返しながら徐々に減少し、最終的に、ワークWの残留磁化を極めて小さな値にできる。マグネットグリッパ14は、消磁用の電磁コイルが不要であり、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aの回転動作のみで消磁を行える。
 図6の比較例に示されるマグネットグリッパ100は、1つのグリッパユニット116を備える。マグネットグリッパ100は、比較的大きいワークWに対して1つの吸着箇所で吸着する。そのため、ワークWの端に、矢印でしめす突発的な荷重Fが加わった場合に、マグネットグリッパ100は、グリッパユニット116の最大吸着力よりも弱い荷重FでワークWが剥離する。
 これに対し、図5に示される本実施形態のマグネットグリッパ14は、比較的大きいワークWを、軸線方向に十分離間した第1グリッパユニット16と第2グリッパユニット16Aとで吸着する。そのため、ワークWの端に矢印に示すような突発的な荷重Fが加わった場合であっても、2つの吸着箇所で荷重Fを分散して支えることができ、ワークWの脱落を防止できる。
 さらに、マグネットグリッパ14は、2つのグリッパユニット16、16Aを1つの駆動機構22で駆動できるため、装置構成の複雑化を防止できる。
(第2実施形態)
 図7に示されるように、本実施形態のマグネットグリッパ14Aは、駆動機構22の配置位置において、図1に示すマグネットグリッパ14と異なる。マグネットグリッパ14Aのその他の構成は、図1に示すマグネットグリッパ14と同様である。マグネットグリッパ14Aの構成において、マグネットグリッパ14に対応する構成と同様の部分には、同一符号が付されており、それらの説明は省略される。
 本実施形態のマグネットグリッパ14Aは、駆動機構22が、第1グリッパユニット16と第2グリッパユニット16Aとの間の部分で、回転シャフト20に接続されている。駆動機構22の駆動モータ38は、中間ハウジング24の上面に取り付けられている。伝達機構40は、中間ハウジング24の上面に設けられた開口孔24aを通るベルト40cを有しており、中間ハウジング24の開口孔24aを通じて駆動モータ38の駆動軸部38aと回転シャフト20とに接続されている。
(第3実施形態)
 図8A及び図8Bに示されるように、本実施形態は、変形例に係る第1グリッパユニット16Bに関する。本実施形態の第1グリッパユニット16Bは、第1ヨーク26B及びエアギャップ部36Bにおいて、図1~図3Aを参照しつつ説明した第1グリッパユニット16と異なる。第1グリッパユニット16Bのその他の構成は、図2及び図3Aに示す第1グリッパユニット16と同様である。第1グリッパユニット16Bにおいて第1グリッパユニット16と同様の部分には、同一符号が付されており、それらの説明は省略される。
 第1ヨーク26Bは、幅方向の第1側部26e寄りに位置する第1部分42と、第2側部26f寄りに位置する第2部分44とに分離されている。第1部分42と第2部分44は、透磁率が高い磁性材料によって一体的に形成されている。第1部分42と第2部分44との間には、エアギャップ部36Bとして板部材46が取り付けられている。板部材46は非磁性材料よりなる。板部材46は、幅方向の中央に位置し、軸線方向に延在する。本実施形態のエアギャップ部36Bは、板部材46により構成される。板部材46は、第1部分42及び第2部分44と液密に接合されており、収容室34の外周部を液密に封止する。
 本実施形態の第1グリッパユニット16Bは、図8Aに示すように、N極及びS極が第1部分42及び第2部分44を向いている場合には、エアギャップ部36Bによって第1ヨーク26Bの内部での磁束の短絡が妨げられる。その結果、第1磁石28の磁束は、一対のポールピース30に向かい、ワークWに対する吸着力を発生させる。また、図8Bに示されるように、第1磁石28のN極及びS極が板部材46を向いている場合には、磁束が第1部分42及び第2部分44の内部で短絡する。この場合には、一対のポールピース30からは磁束が放出されないため、第1グリッパユニット16Bは、吸着力を発生しない。
 以上のように、図1のマグネットグリッパ14と同様の効果が得られる。なお、第1グリッパユニット16Bの構造は、図3Bに示される第2グリッパユニット16Aにも適用可能である。
(第4実施形態)
 図9に示されるように、本実施形態のマグネットグリッパ14Cは、第1グリッパユニット16、第2グリッパユニット16Aに加えて、第3グリッパユニット16Cを備える。第3グリッパユニット16Cは、第3ヨーク26Cと、第3磁石28Cと、一対のポールピース30と、エアギャップ部36と、を有する。第3ヨーク26Cは、第1グリッパユニット16の第1ヨーク26(図3A参照)と同様に構成され、第3磁石28Cは第1グリッパユニット16の第1磁石28(図3A参照)と同様に構成される。また、一対のポールピース30は、第1グリッパユニット16のポールピース30(図3A参照)と同様である。第3磁石28Cは、その回転軸線が、第1磁石28及び第2磁石28Aの回転軸線と、同軸となるように配置されており、回転方向の同一方向に磁化されている。
 マグネットグリッパ14Cは、回転シャフト20を有する。回転シャフト20は、第1磁石28と、第2磁石28Aと、第3磁石28Cとの回転軸線に沿って直線状に延び、これらを互いに連結する。回転シャフト20の端部20aには、駆動機構22が接続されている。回転シャフト20は、駆動機構22の回転力により、第1磁石28、第2磁石28A及び第3磁石28Cを一体的に回転させる。なお、マグネットグリッパ14Cの駆動機構22は、図1を参照しつつ説明した駆動機構22と同様である。
 本実施形態のマグネットグリッパ14Cは、3つの吸着箇所でワークWを吸着する。そのため、マグネットグリッパ14Cは、より大型のワークWを安定的に搬送できる。なお、上記の説明では、マグネットグリッパ14Cが3つのグリッパユニットを有する例で説明したが、本実施形態はこの態様に限定されない。マグネットグリッパ14Cは、4つ以上のグリッパユニットを有してもよい。
 上記実施形態に関し、さらに以下の付記が開示される。

 本開示のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)は、吸着面に平行な回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第1磁石(28)を有する第1グリッパユニット(16、16B)と、前記回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第2磁石(28A)を有する第2グリッパユニット(16A)と、前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石とを連結して前記回転軸線を中心に前記第1磁石(28)と前記第2磁石(28A)とを回転させる回転シャフト(20)と、を備え、前記第1グリッパユニットと前記第2グリッパユニットとは、前記第1磁石の磁力による吸着力と前記第2磁石の磁力による吸着力とが互いに影響を受けない距離に離れて配置されている。
 上記のマグネットグリッパは、グリッパユニットの重量増加を抑制しつつ、簡素な装置構成で、大型のワークを安定的に搬送できる。
(付記2)
 付記1に記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記第1グリッパユニットは、前記第1磁石を収容し前記第1磁石の磁力をワーク(W)に伝える第1ヨーク(26、26B)を有し、前記第2グリッパユニットは、前記第2磁石を収容し、前記第2磁石の磁力を前記ワークに伝える第2ヨーク(26A)を有し、前記第1ヨークと前記第2ヨークとは、前記回転軸線の方向において互いに離れており、前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石との間に磁気回路を形成しなくてもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、少ない数のグリッパユニットで、ワークを効率良く、安定的に搬送できる。
(付記3)
 付記1又は2に記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石とは、前記第1磁石のN極の位置と、前記第2磁石のN極の位置とが回転方向において同一であってもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、複数のグリッパユニットの吸着と吸着解除とを、1本の回転シャフトの回転で切換えることができる。
(付記4)
 付記1~3のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記第1磁石及び前記第2磁石の各々は、前記回転軸線の方向に間隔をあけて配置された円板状の複数の磁石片(28a)から構成されてもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、磁石を軽量化しつつ、広い範囲に磁力による吸着力を分散させて発生することができる。
(付記5)
 付記3又は4に記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石とは同一の構成を有してもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、第1磁石と第2磁石とを同一部品とすることで、装置コストを低減できる。
(付記6)
 付記1~5のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパは、前記第1グリッパユニットと前記第2グリッパユニットとを連結し、かつ前記回転シャフトを収容する中間ハウジング(24)を備えてもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、回転シャフトを塵埃及び水から保護できる。
(付記7)
 付記2に記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記第1ヨーク及び前記第2ヨークは、前記第1磁石又は前記第2磁石を回転可能に収容する磁石収容室(34、34A)と、前記回転軸線に垂直であり、かつ、前記吸着面に平行な幅方向の中央に位置し、前記幅方向への磁束の流れを妨げるエアギャップ部(36、36A)と、を有してもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、第1磁石及び第2磁石の回転動作により、吸着力の発生とその解除を行える。
(付記8)
 付記7に記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記エアギャップ部は、前記第1ヨーク又は前記第2ヨークを切欠いた溝を有してもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、エアギャップ部が上面及び底面に開口部を有さないため、防水性に優れる。
(付記9)
 付記2、7及び8のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記第1グリッパユニット及び前記第2グリッパユニットは、前記第1ヨーク及び前記第2ヨークのそれぞれに交換可能に取り付けられたポールピース(30)を有してもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、摩耗が生じやすいポールピースを交換可能とすることで、メンテナンス費用を削減できる。
(付記10)
 付記1~9のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパであって、さらに、前記回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第3磁石(28C)を有する第3グリッパユニット(16C)を有し、前記第3磁石は、前記回転シャフトを介して前記第1磁石及び前記第2磁石に連結され、前記第3グリッパユニットは、前記第1磁石及び前記第2磁石の磁力による吸着力の影響を受けない位置に配置されてもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、3つの吸着箇所で、より大きなサイズのワークを安定的に搬送できる。
(付記11)
 付記1~10のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記回転シャフトを回転させる駆動機構(22)を備え、前記駆動機構は、前記回転シャフトの前記回転軸線の延在方向の一方の端部(20a)に接続されてもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、1つの駆動機構で複数のグリッパユニットを駆動できる。
(付記12)
 付記1~10のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパであって、前記回転シャフトを回転させる駆動機構(22)を備え、前記駆動機構は、前記第1グリッパユニットと前記第2グリッパユニットとの間で、前記回転シャフトに接続されてもよい。このマグネットグリッパは、駆動機構が回転シャフトの端部に配置されないため、軸線方向のサイズを小さくすることができる。
(付記13)
 本開示の産業用ロボット(10)は、付記1~12のいずれか1つに記載のマグネットグリッパと、前記マグネットグリッパを保持しつつ駆動するロボットアーム(12)と、を備える。この産業用ロボットは、大型のワークを安定的に搬送できる。
 本開示について詳述したが、本開示は上記した個々の実施形態に限定されるものではない。これらの実施形態は、本開示の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で、又は、請求の範囲に記載された内容とその均等物から導き出される本開示の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で、種々の追加、置き換え、変更、部分的削除等が可能である。また、これらの実施形態は、組み合わせて実施することもできる。例えば、上記した実施形態において、各動作の順序や各処理の順序は、一例として示したものであり、これらに限定されるものではない。また、上記した実施形態の説明に数値又は数式が用いられている場合も同様である。

Claims (13)

  1.  吸着面に平行な回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第1磁石(28)を有する第1グリッパユニット(16、16B)と、
     前記回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第2磁石(28A)を有する第2グリッパユニット(16A)と、
     前記第1磁石(28)と前記第2磁石(28A)とを連結して前記回転軸線を中心に前記第1磁石(28)と前記第2磁石(28A)とを回転させる回転シャフト(20)と、を備え、
     前記第1グリッパユニット(16、16B)と前記第2グリッパユニット(16A)とは、前記第1磁石(28)の磁力による吸着力と前記第2磁石(28A)の磁力による吸着力とが互いに影響を受けない距離に離れて配置されている、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  2.  請求項1に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記第1グリッパユニット(16、16B)は、前記第1磁石(28)を収容し前記第1磁石(28)の磁力をワーク(W)に伝える第1ヨーク(26、26B)を有し、
     前記第2グリッパユニット(16A)は、前記第2磁石(28A)を収容し、前記第2磁石(28A)の磁力を前記ワーク(W)に伝える第2ヨーク(26A)を有し、
     前記第1ヨーク(26、26B)と前記第2ヨーク(26A)とは、前記回転軸線の方向において互いに離れており、前記第1磁石(28)と前記第2磁石(28A)との間に磁気回路を形成しない、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  3.  請求項1に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記第1磁石(28)と前記第2磁石(28A)とは、前記第1磁石(28)のN極の位置と、前記第2磁石(28A)のN極の位置とが回転方向において同一である、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  4.  請求項3に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記第1磁石(28)及び前記第2磁石(28A)の各々は、前記回転軸線の方向に間隔をあけて配置された円板状の複数の磁石片(28a)から構成される、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  5.  請求項3に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記第1磁石(28)と前記第2磁石(28A)とは、同一の構成を有する、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  6.  請求項1に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記第1グリッパユニット(16、16B)と前記第2グリッパユニット(16A)とを連結し、かつ前記回転シャフト(20)を収容する中間ハウジング(24)を備える、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  7.  請求項2に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記第1ヨーク(26、26B)及び前記第2ヨーク(26A)は、
     前記第1磁石(28)又は前記第2磁石(28A)を回転可能に収容する磁石収容室(34、34A)と、
     前記回転軸線に垂直であり、かつ、前記吸着面に平行な幅方向の中央に位置し、前記幅方向への磁束の流れを妨げるエアギャップ部(36、36A)と、を有する、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  8.  請求項7に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、
     前記エアギャップ部(36、36A)は、前記第1ヨーク(26)又は前記第2ヨーク(26A)を切欠いた溝を有する、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  9.  請求項2に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)であって、前記第1グリッパユニット(16、16B)及び前記第2グリッパユニット(16A)は、前記第1ヨーク(26、26B)及び前記第2ヨーク(26A)のそれぞれに交換可能に取り付けられたポールピース(30)を有する、マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)。
  10.  請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14C)であって、さらに、前記回転軸線に垂直な直径方向に磁化された第3磁石(28C)を有する第3グリッパユニット(16C)を有し、
     前記第3磁石(28C)は、前記回転シャフト(20)を介して前記第1磁石(28)及び前記第2磁石(28A)に連結され、
     前記第3グリッパユニット(16C)は、前記第1磁石(28)及び前記第2磁石(28A)の磁力による吸着力の影響を受けない位置に配置されている、マグネットグリッパ(14C)。
  11.  請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14C)であって、前記回転シャフト(20)を回転させる駆動機構(22)を備え、前記駆動機構(22)は、前記回転シャフト(20)の前記回転軸線の延在方向の一方の端部(20a)に接続されている、マグネットグリッパ(14、14C)。
  12.  請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14A)であって、前記回転シャフト(20)を回転させる駆動機構(22)を備え、前記駆動機構(22)は、前記第1グリッパユニット(16)と前記第2グリッパユニット(16A)との間で、前記回転シャフト(20)に接続されている、マグネットグリッパ(14A)。
  13.  請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のマグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)と、
     前記マグネットグリッパ(14、14A、14C)を保持しつつ駆動するロボットアーム(12)と、を備えた、産業用ロボット(10)。
