Description

包装材、包装袋、ガスバリア積層体及びガスバリア積層体の製造方法
 本開示は、包装材、包装袋、ガスバリア積層体及びガスバリア積層体の製造方法に関する。
 第1の背景
 近年、海洋プラスチックごみ問題等に端を発する環境意識の高まりから、脱プラスチックの機運が高まっている。包装材の分野においても、プラスチック製から紙製の包装材へ代替する要求が強くなっている。内容物の品質を劣化させる水蒸気等の透過を抑制するため、ガスバリア性を有する包装材が使用されている。
 特許文献1には、紙基材と、特定の材料を含む接着剤層と、該接着剤層に接触する金属層と、シーラント層とがこの順で積層され、接着剤層の厚さが特定の範囲である、包装材が開示されている。特許文献2には、紙基材と、該紙基材に接触する接着剤層と、シーラント層とがこの順で積層されてなる包装材であって、紙基材の算術平均粗さ及び包装材の引張強度が特定の条件式を満たす包装材が開示されている。
 特許文献3には、紙基材と、アンカーコート層と、蒸着層と、シーラント層と、をこの順序で備え、紙基材の重量が、包装材全体の50質量%以上であり、シーラント層の厚さが、2~40μmであり、引張破断強度が、特定の範囲である易開封性包装材が開示されている。
 特許文献4には、紙基材層と、バリア性接着剤層と、蒸着層と、ポリエチレン系シーラント層と、をこの順序で備え、単位面積当たりの蒸着層を備えるシーラント層の重量に対する紙基材の重量の比率が、1以上3以下である積層体が開示されている。
 第2の背景
 食品、飲料、医薬品及び化学品等の多くの分野では、それぞれの内容物に応じた包装材が使用されている。包装材には、内容物の変質の原因となる水蒸気や酸素等の透過防止性(ガスバリア性)が求められる。
 近年、海洋プラスチックごみ問題等に端を発する環境意識の高まりから、脱プラスチックの機運が高まっている。プラスチック材料の使用量削減の観点から、種々の分野において、プラスチック材料の代わりに、紙を使用することが検討されている。例えば、特許文献4には、紙基材層と、蒸着層と、シーラント層と、バリア性接着剤層とを備え、紙基材層の質量とシーラント層の質量が特定の関係式を満たす積層体が開示されている。また、特許文献5には、紙基材と、接着層と、該接着層に接触する金属層と、シーラント層とがこの順で積層され、接着層の厚さ及び材料が特定され、紙基材及び包装材の引張強度が特定の関係を満たす包装材が開示されている。

 第1の課題
 しかし、上記特許文献1及び2に開示の包装材は、包装材がノッチを有しない場合に引き裂き性に劣ることが本発明者らの検討で明らかとなった。また、上記特許文献1及び2に開示の包装材は、紙基材の繊維が配向性を有するが、引き裂く方向が紙基材の繊維の配向方向に沿わない場合には、引き裂き性に劣ることが本発明者らの検討で明らかとなった。
 特許文献3の易開封性包装材は、紙の屈曲変形に伴う蒸着層の損傷が生じやすく、折り曲げ部のガスバリア性に劣っていた。
 また、近年は高い紙比率の環境配慮型の包装材が求められている。特許文献1、2及び4の包装材は、紙比率の点で改善の余地がある。
 本開示は、ノッチを有していない場合であっても引き裂く方向に関わらず引き裂き性に優れ、折り曲げ後であっても水蒸気バリア性に優れ、且つ環境に配慮した包装材及び包装袋を提供する。
 第2の課題
 しかし、特許文献4に開示の積層体は、製袋のための搬送時に不具合が発生する場合があり、製袋適性の点で改善の余地があることが本発明者らの検討により明らかとなった。
 また、資源有効利用促進法の観点から、ガスバリア積層体全体に占める紙の比率を高めることが求められている。特許文献1に開示の積層体は、環境適性の点で改善の余地がある。
 また、特許文献5に開示の包装材は、加工時及び製袋時に断紙等が発生し、製袋適正の点で改善の余地があることが本発明者らの検討により明らかとなった。また、特許文献5には、包装材全体に占める紙比率を高めることの開示は無い。
 本開示は、上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、環境適性に優れつつ、十分な製袋適性を有するガスバリア積層体を提供する。また、本開示は、このようなガスバリア積層体を含む包装袋及びこのようなガスバリア積層体の製造方法を提供する。
 第1の発明群
 上記課題を解決するために、本開示は、以下の包装材及び包装袋を提供する。

 本開示一態様である第1の発明群によれば、ノッチを有していない場合であっても引き裂く方向に関わらず引き裂き性に優れ、折り曲げ後であっても水蒸気バリア性に優れ、且つ環境に配慮した包装材及び包装袋が提供される。
 本開示の一態様である第2の発明群によれば、環境適性に優れつつ、十分な製袋適性を有するガスバリア積層体が提供される。また、本開示によれば、このようなガスバリア積層体を含む包装袋及びこのようなガスバリア積層体の製造方法が提供される。

 第1の発明群
 以下、本開示の好適な実施形態について詳細に説明する。ただし、本開示は以下の実施形態に限定されない。
<易開封性包装材>
{第一実施形態}
 以下、第一実施形態に係る易開封性包装材について説明する。図1は、第一実施形態に係る易開封性包装材を示す模式断面図である。一実施形態に係る包装材10は、紙基材1と、接着剤層2と、バリアコート層3と、蒸着層4と、シーラントフィルム5と、をこの順序で備える積層構造を有する。包装材の全質量に占める紙基材の質量比率が、75質量%超である。シーラントフィルムの厚さは、2~20μmであり、シーラントフィルムは、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含み、シーラントフィルムの一方の主面において測定される複合弾性率は、1.25~4.00GPaである。
 包装材10は、環境に配慮しつつ、ノッチを有していない場合であっても引き裂く方向に関わらず引き裂き性に優れ、折り曲げ後であっても水蒸気バリア性に優れる。また、包装材10は、製袋適性に優れる。このような効果が奏される理由を本発明者らは以下のように推察する。すなわち、シーラントフィルムの複合弾性率が1.25GPa以上であることで、引き裂きにおけるシーラントフィルムの変形が抑えられることで、引き裂き性が向上する。また、当該複合弾性率が4.00GPa以下であることで、ヒートシール性が向上して、製袋適性が向上する。さらにその上で、包装材10は、紙基材1とバリアコート層3との間に接着剤層2を備え、シーラントフィルムの厚さが2~20μmである。それにより、包装材10は、紙基材の質量比率が75質量%超でありながら、製袋適性、引き裂き性及び折り曲げ後の水蒸気バリア性に優れたものとなる。
 本明細書において「易開封性」及び「引き裂き性」とは、ハサミやナイフなどを用いなくても、手で引き裂く動作によって包装袋を開封することができる性質を意味する。
 以下、包装材10の各層について詳述する。
[紙基材]
 紙基材1としては、特に限定されるものではなく、包装材10が適用される包装袋の用途に応じて適宜選択すればよい。植物由来のパルプを主成分としている紙であれば特に制限はない。紙基材1の具体例として、上質紙、特殊上質紙、コート紙、アート紙、キャストコート紙、模造紙、クラフト紙及びグラシン紙が挙げられる。紙基材1の厚さは、例えば、30μm以上100μm以下であってよく、30μm以上70μm以下であってよい。
 紙基材の坪量(X)は、環境適性に一層優れつつ、製袋速度及びラミネート速度が向上する傾向があることから、30g/m以上であることが好ましく、40g/m以上であることがより好ましい。紙基材の坪量(X)は、製袋時のヒートシール性が良好になり、製袋速度が向上する傾向があることから、80g/m以下であることが好ましく、70g/m以下であることがより好ましい。
 紙基材1には、少なくとも接着剤層2と接する側にコート層が設けてあってもよい。コート層を設けることで、紙に接着剤層2が染み込むことを防ぐことができるほか、紙の凹凸を埋める目止めの役割を果たすこともできる。コート層には、例えば、バインダー樹脂として、スチレン・ブタジエン系、スチレン・アクリル系、エチレン・酢酸ビニル系、などの各種共重合体、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂、セルロース系樹脂、パラフィン(WAX)等を用い、填料としてクレー、カオリン、炭酸カルシウム、タルク、マイカ等が含まれていてもよい。
 コート層の厚さは、例えば、1~10μm、又は3~8μmであってよい。
 包装材10の全質量に占める紙基材1の質量比率は、包装材全体を基準として、80質量%以上であることが好ましく、85質量%以上であることがより好ましく、90質量%以上であることが更に好ましい。紙基材の質量比率がこのような範囲にあると、プラスチック材料の使用量を十分に削減することができ、包装材全体として紙製であるということができるとともに、リサイクル性に優れる。
[接着剤層]
 接着剤層2は、紙基材1と、バリアコート層3とを密着する。接着剤層2としては、紙基材1とバリアコート層3とを密着させるものであれば、様々なものを用いることができるが、例えば、ウレタン系接着剤の硬化物及びエポキシ系接着剤の硬化物並びに水溶性接着剤が挙げられる。
<ウレタン系接着剤>
 ウレタン系接着剤は、1分子中に水酸基を2個以上有するポリオールと、1分子中にイソシアネート基を2個以上有するイソシアネート化合物と、を含む樹脂組成物である。ウレタン系接着剤を硬化させることでウレタン結合が生成される。ウレタン系接着剤は、2液硬化型であることが好ましい。ウレタン系接着剤は、耐熱性に優れつつ、高温度下におけるガスバリア性に優れることから、脂肪族エステルウレタン系接着剤が好ましい。ウレタン系接着剤は、ガスバリア性に優れることから、芳香族エーテルウレタン系接着剤及び芳香族エステルウレタン系接着剤が好ましい。
 ウレタン系接着剤は、ガスバリア性を有するものであってよい。ウレタン系接着剤にガスバリア性を付与する方法としては、例えば、ガスバリア性を有する骨格を有するポリオールを用いる方法、上記樹脂組成物にリン酸変性化合物を含有させる方法、上記樹脂組成物に板状無機化合物を含有させる方法が挙げられる。これらの方法は、1つの方法を単独で又は2以上の方法を組み合わせることができる。
 バリア性を有する骨格を有するポリオールとしては、主骨格がポリエステル又はポリエステルポリウレタンであって、ポリエステルがオルト配向芳香族ジカルボン酸又はその無水物に由来する構造を含むものが好ましい。主骨格のポリエステル部分は、多価カルボン酸と多価アルコールとを重縮合反応させて得られたものであってよい。
 多価カルボン酸としては、例えば、脂肪族多価カルボン酸及び芳香族多価カルボン酸が挙げられる。脂肪族多価カルボン酸としては、例えば、コハク酸、アジピン酸、アゼライン酸、セバシン酸、ドデカンジカルボン酸及び1,4-シクロヘキサンジカルボン酸が挙げられる。
 芳香族多価カルボン酸としては、例えば、オルトフタル酸、テレフタル酸、イソフタル酸、ピロメリット酸、トリメリット酸、1,2-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、1,8-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、2,3-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、1,4-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、2,5-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、2,6-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、ナフタル酸、ビフェニルジカルボン酸、1,2-ビス(フェノキシ)エタン-p,p’-ジカルボン酸及びこれらジカルボン酸の無水物、並びにp-ヒドロキシ安息香酸及びp-(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)安息香酸等の多塩基酸が挙げられる。多価カルボン酸は、1種を単独で又は2種以上を併用することができる。
 多価カルボン酸としては、オルト配向芳香族ジカルボン酸又はその無水物が好ましい。オルト配向芳香族ジカルボン酸又はその無水物の含有率は、ポリエステルを構成する多価カルボン酸成分の全量を基準として、70~100質量%であることが好ましい。
 オルト配向芳香族ジカルボン酸としては、例えば、オルトフタル酸、1,2-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、1,8-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、2,3-ナフタレンジカルボン酸、及びこれらジカルボン酸の無水物が挙げられる。
 多価アルコールとしては、脂肪族多価アルコール及び芳香族多価フェノールが挙げられる。脂肪族多価アルコールとしては、例えば、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ブチレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、シクロヘキサンジメタノール、1,5-ペンタンジオール、3-メチル-1,5-ペンタンジオール、1,6-ヘキサンジオール、メチルペンタンジオール、ジメチルブタンジオール、ブチルエチルプロパンジオール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、テトラエチレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール及びトリプロピレングリコールが挙げられる。
 芳香族多価フェノールとしては、例えば、ヒドロキノン、レゾルシノール、カテコール、ナフタレンジオール、ビフェノール、ビスフェノールA、ヒスフェノールF及びテトラメチルビフェノール、並びにこれらのエチレンオキサイド伸長物、水添化脂環族が挙げられる。
 イソシアネート化合物は、芳香環を有する芳香族であってもよく、芳香環を有しない脂肪族であってもよく、低分子化合物又は高分子化合物であってもよく、イソシアネート基が2個のジイソシアネート化合物又は3個以上のポリイソシアネート化合物であってもよい。イソシアネート化合物は、イソシアネートブロック化剤を付加反応させて得られたブロック化イソシアネート化合物であってもよい。
 イソシアネート化合物は、接着剤層2の接着性の観点から、ポリイソシアネート化合物が好ましい。イソシアネート化合物は、接着剤層2に酸素バリア性付与することから、芳香環を有するものが好ましく、特に、メタキシレン骨格を含むイソシアネート化合物が好ましい。
 イソシアネート化合物としては、例えば、テトラメチレンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、トルエンジイソシアネート、ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート、水素化ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート、メタキシリレンジイソシアネート、水素化キシリレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート及びこれらのイソシアネート化合物の3量体が挙げられる。これらのイソシアネート化合物は、例えば、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、メタキシリレンアルコール、1,3-ビスヒドロキシエチルベンゼン、1,4-ビスヒドロキシエチルベンゼン、トリメチロールプロパン、グリセロール、ペンタエリスリトール、エリスリトール、ソルビトール、エチレンジアミン、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、トリエタノールアミン、メタキシリレンジアミンなどの低分子活性水素化合物及びそのアルキレンオキシド付加物、各種ポリエステル樹脂類、ポリエーテルポリオール類並びにポリアミド類の高分子活性水素化合物と、イソシアネート化合物とを反応させて得られるアダクト体、ビュレット体、アロファネート体であってもよい。
<エポキシ系接着剤>
 エポキシ系接着剤は、エポキシ樹脂と、エポキシ樹脂硬化剤とを含む樹脂組成物である。
 エポキシ樹脂は、飽和結合又は不飽和結合を有していてもよく、脂肪族化合物、脂環式化合物、芳香族化合物、又は複素環式化合物のいずれであってよい。エポキシ樹脂は、より高いガスバリア性を発現させるため、芳香環又は脂環式構造を分子内に含むエポキシ樹脂が好ましい。
 エポキシ樹脂としては、例えば、メタキシリレンジアミンから誘導されたグリシジルアミノ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、1,3-ビス(アミノメチル)シクロヘキサンから誘導されたグリシジルアミノ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、ジアミノジフェニルメタンから誘導されたグリシジルアミノ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、パラアミノフェノールから誘導されたグリシジルアミノ基及び/又はグリシジルオキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、ビスフェノールAから誘導されたグリシジルオキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、ビスフェノールFから誘導されたグリシジルオキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、フェノールノボラックから誘導されたグリシジルオキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、及び、レゾルシノールから誘導されたグリシジルオキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂が挙げられる。エポキシ樹脂は、1種を単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。エポキシ樹脂は、ガスバリア性の観点から、メタキシリレンジアミンから誘導されたグリシジルアミノ基を有するエポキシ樹脂、及びビスフェノールFから誘導されたグリシジルオキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂が好ましく、メタキシリレンジアミンから誘導されたグリシジルアミノ基を有するエポキシ樹脂がより好ましい。
 エポキシ樹脂硬化剤は、メタキシリレンジアミン又はパラキシリレンジアミンと、下記式(1)で示される不飽和カルボン酸及び/又はその誘導体との反応生成物であってよい。
[式(1)中、Rは炭素数1~8のアルキル基、炭素数1~8のアラルキル基又はアリール基を表す。]
 エポキシ樹脂硬化剤の前駆体として、メタキシリレンジアミン又はパラキシリレンジアミンを用いることにより、ガスバリア性が一層向上する。メタキシリレンジアミン又はパラキシリレンジアミンは、ガスバリア性の観点から、メタキシリレンジアミンが好ましい。メタキシリレンジアミン又はパラキシリレンジアミンは、1種を単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
 エポキシ樹脂硬化剤の前駆体として、上記式(1)で示される不飽和カルボン酸及び/又はその誘導体を用いることにより、良好な接着性を発現する。上記式(1)で示される不飽和カルボン酸及び/又はその誘導体としては、クロトン酸、2-ペンテン酸、2-ヘキセン酸、4-メチル-2-ペンテン酸、2-ヘプテン酸、4-メチル-2-ヘキセン酸、5-メチル-2-ヘキセン酸、4,4-ジメチル-2-ペンテン酸、4-フェニル-2-ブテン酸、桂皮酸、o-メチル桂皮酸、m-メチル桂皮酸、p-メチル桂皮酸、2-オクテン酸、2-ノネン酸、2-デセン酸、2-ウンデセン酸などの不飽和カルボン酸、及びその誘導体(例えば、エステル、アミド、酸無水物、酸塩化物など)が挙げられるが、これらに特に限定されない。上記式(1)で示される不飽和カルボン酸及び/又はその誘導体は、1種を単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
 上記式(1)で示される不飽和カルボン酸及び/又はその誘導体は、ガスバリア性及び接着性を一層向上させるため、上記式(1)におけるRが炭素数1~3の炭化水素基又はフェニル基である不飽和カルボン酸及びその誘導体よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種が好ましく、クロトン酸及びクロトン酸誘導体よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種がより好ましく、クロトン酸及びクロトン酸エステルよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種がさらに好ましい。クロトン酸エステルとしては、炭素数1~3のアルキルエステルがより好ましく、クロトン酸メチルがさらに好ましい。
<水溶性接着剤>
 水溶性接着剤の材料としては、タピオカや澱粉等の多糖類、ポリビニルアルコール、その他各種水溶性接着剤を使用可能である。
 接着剤層2は、一液硬化型又は二液硬化型の接着剤を用いて形成されてもよく(ドライラミネート法)、無溶剤接着剤を用いて形成されてもよく(ノンソルベントドライラミネート法)、溶融した樹脂を紙基材1又はバリアコート層3の表面上に押し出すことで形成されてもよい(押出しラミネート法)。
 接着剤層2の厚さは、接着剤層2の接着性を向上させる観点から、0.01μm以上であることが好ましく、2μm以上又は3μm以上であることがより好ましく、プラスチック材料の使用量が一層削減されることから、10μm以下であることが好ましく、5μm以下であることがより好ましい。接着剤層2の厚さは、0.01μm以上10μm以下、0.01μm以上5μm以下、2μm以上10μm以下、2μm以上5μm以下、3μm以上10μm以下又は3μm以上5μm以下であってよい。
[バリアコート層]
 バリアコート層3は、蒸着層4の表面上に設けられ、紙基材1と蒸着層4との間の密着性向上や、包装材のガスバリア性の向上のために設けられるものである。バリアコート層3は、特に制限されないが、ガスバリア性(特に、水蒸気バリア性)に一層優れることから、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂及び極性基を有するポリオレフィンを含むことが好ましく、水蒸気バリア性及び酸素バリア性に一層優れることから、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含むことがより好ましい。
 バリアコート層3が極性基を有するポリオレフィンを含むことで、ポリオレフィンの結晶性による緻密な膜の形成が可能であり、水蒸気バリア性が発現する。ポリオレフィンの結晶性により水蒸気バリア性が発現し、極性基を有することで蒸着層4との密着が発現する。
 極性基を有するポリオレフィンは、カルボキシル基、カルボキシル基の塩、カルボン酸無水物基及びカルボン酸エステルより選ばれる少なくとも1種を有していてもよい。
 極性基を有するポリオレフィンとして、エチレンやプロピレンに、不飽和カルボン酸(アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、無水マレイン酸等カルボキシル基を有する不飽和化合物)や、不飽和カルボン酸エステルを共重合したもの、及びカルボン酸を塩基性化合物で中和した塩などを用いてもよく、その他、酢酸ビニル、エポキシ系化合物、塩素系化合物、ウレタン系化合物、ポリアミド系化合物等と共重合したものなどを用いてもよい。
 極性基を有するポリオレフィンとして、具体的には、アクリル酸エステルと無水マレイン酸との共重合体、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体、エチレン-グリシジルメタクリレート共重合体等が挙げられる。
 ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂とは、例えば、完全けん化のポリビニルアルコール樹脂、部分けん化のポリビニルアルコール樹脂、変性ポリビニルアルコール樹脂、エチレン-ビニルアルコール共重合樹脂等である。またポリビニルアルコール系樹脂の重合度は、300以上、1700以下が好ましい。重合度が300以上であれば、包装材のガスバリア性及び屈曲耐性が良好になり、重合度が1700以下であれば、後述するポリビニルアルコール系樹脂の塗液の粘度が低くなり、塗布性が良好になる。
 バリアコート層3がポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含む場合には、柔軟性に優れ、屈曲後(折り曲げ後)に後述する蒸着層の割れを抑制してガスバリア性の劣化を抑えることができるとともに、蒸着層とバリアコート層3との密着性を向上させることができる。
 バリアコート層3には、上記ポリオレフィン及びポリビニルアルコール系樹脂のほかに他の成分を含んでいてもよい。他の成分としては、例えば、上記ポリオレフィン以外のポリオレフィン、ポリアクリル、ポリエステル、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレンイミン、ポリ乳酸、ポリアミド、でんぷん及びその誘導体、及びセルロース誘導体等の樹脂、並びにシランカップリング剤、有機チタネート、グリセリン、グリコール類、カゼイン及びワックス等の添加剤が挙げられる。
 バリアコート層3におけるポリオレフィン及びポリビニルアルコール系樹脂の合計含有量は、例えば、50質量%以上であってよく、70質量%以上であってよく、90質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってよい。
 バリアコート層3の厚さは、例えば、0.1μm以上であってよく、1μm以上であってよく、20μm以下であってよく、10μm以下であってよく、5μm以下であってよい。バリアコート層3の厚さが0.1μm以上であれば、より安定なバリア性が確保できる。また、バリアコート層3の厚さが20μm以下であれば、包装材10は、より環境適性に優れる。
 バリアコート層3の塗液に含まれる溶媒としては、例えば、水、メチルアルコール、エチルアルコール、イソプロピルアルコール、n-プロピルアルコール、n-ブチルアルコール、n-ペンチルアルコール、ジメチルスルホキシド、ジメチルホルムアミド、ジメチルアセトアミド、トルエン、ヘキサン、ヘプタン、シクロヘキサン、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、ジエチルエーテル、ジオキサン、テトラヒドロフラン、酢酸エチル、酢酸ブチルが挙げられる。これらの溶媒は一種を単独で用いてもよく、二種以上を併用してもよい。これらの中でも、特性の観点から、メチルアルコール、エチルアルコール、イソプロピルアルコール、トルエン、酢酸エチル、メチルエチルケトン、水が好ましい。また環境の観点から、メチルアルコール、エチルアルコール、イソプロピルアルコール、水が好ましい。
 バリアコート層3を設ける方法としては、特に制限されない。バリアコート層3が、上述したポリオレフィン及びポリビニルアルコール系樹脂のうち少なくとも一方を含む場合、蒸着層上に少なくとも上述したポリオレフィン及びポリビニルアルコール系樹脂のうち少なくとも一方と、溶媒とを含む塗液を塗布し、乾燥させることで得ることができる。また、ブロッキングを防止する観点からポリオレフィンワックスを入れても良い。塗液中におけるポリオレフィンワックスは、接触面積が小さくなるよう、粒径は大きい方がよい。特に限定されるものではないが、粒径は具体的には0.1μm以上であってよく、1μm以上であってよく、10μm以下、7μm以下、5μm以下であってよい。
[蒸着層]
 蒸着層4は、金属又は無機化合物を蒸着した層である。蒸着層4は、シーラントフィルム5の表面上にシーラントフィルム5に接するように設けられる。
 蒸着層4としては、アルミニウムを蒸着して得られたものであってもよく、酸化アルミニウム(AlO)、酸化ケイ素(SiO)等を含むものであってもよい。
 蒸着層4の厚さは、20~200nmが好ましい。蒸着層の厚さが20nm以上であることで、蒸着膜に欠陥が生じにくく、ガスバリア性、特に屈曲部のガスバリア性が優れる傾向がある。蒸着層の厚さが200nm以下であると、シーラントフィルムに蒸着処理時の熱負荷によるシワや欠陥が生じにくくなり、ガスバリア性の劣化を生じにくい傾向がある。蒸着層4の厚さは、30~180nmであることがより好ましく、50~150nmが更に好ましい。
 蒸着層4は、真空成膜手段によって成膜することが、酸素ガスバリア性能や膜均一性の観点から好ましい。成膜手段には、真空蒸着法、スパッタリング法、化学的気相成長法(CVD法)などの公知の方法があるが、成膜速度が速く生産性が高いことから真空蒸着法が好ましい。また真空蒸着法の中でも、特に電子ビーム加熱による成膜手段は、成膜速度を照射面積や電子ビーム電流などで制御しやすいことや蒸着材料への昇温降温が短時間で行えることから有効である。
[シーラントフィルム]
 シーラントフィルム5は、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含む。ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、低密度ポリエチレン樹脂(LDPE)、中密度ポリエチレン樹脂(MDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン樹脂(HDPE)、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン樹脂(LLDPE)、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)、エチレン-αオレフィン共重合体、エチレン-(メタ)アクリル酸共重合体などのエチレン系樹脂、ホモポリプロピレン樹脂(PP)、プロピレン-エチレンランダム共重合体、プロピレン-エチレンブロック共重合体、プロピレン-αオレフィン共重合体などのポリプロピレン系樹脂、又はこれらの混合物等を使用することができる。ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、ポリプロピレン樹脂が好ましい。ポリプロピレン樹脂は剛性が高いため、包装材10は、製袋適性に一層優れたものとなる傾向がある。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂の含有量は、シーラントフィルムの全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリエチレン樹脂の含有量は、シーラントフィルムの全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリプロピレン樹脂の含有量は、シーラントフィルムの全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂以外の樹脂としては、例えば、ポリエステル樹脂、並びにポリ乳酸及びポリブチレンサクシネートが挙げられる。
 シーラントフィルムの一方の主面において測定される複合弾性率は、1.25GPa以上であり、1.30GPa以上であることが好ましく、1.35GPa以上であることがより好ましい。これにより、包装材10は、引き裂き性に一層優れる傾向がある。複合弾性率は、4.00GPa以下であり、3.50GPa以下であることが好ましく、3.00GPa以下であることがより好ましく、2.50GPa以下であることが更に好ましく、2.00GPa以下であることが更に好ましく、1.50GPa以下であることが特に好ましい。これにより、包装材10は、製袋適性に一層優れる傾向がある。
 つまり、複合弾性率は、1.25GPa以上4.00GPa以下、1.25GPa以上3.50GPa以下、1.25GPa以上3.00GPa以下、1.25GPa以上2.50GPa以下、1.25GPa以上2.00GPa以下、1.25GPa以上1.50GPa以下、1.30GPa以上4.00GPa以下、1.30GPa以上3.50GPa以下、1.30GPa以上3.00GPa以下、1.30GPa以上2.50GPa以下、1.30GPa以上2.00GPa以下、1.30GPa以上1.50GPa以下、1.35GPa以上4.00GPa以下、1.35GPa以上3.50GPa以下、1.35GPa以上3.00GPa以下、1.35GPa以上2.50GPa以下、1.35GPa以上2.00GPa以下、又は1.35GPa以上1.50GPa以下であってよい。
 シーラントフィルムの一方の主面において測定される複合弾性率は、ナノインデンテーション法により測定される。ナノインデンテーション法とは、目的の測定対象に対して準静的な押し込み試験を行い、試料の機械特性を取得する測定法である。
 シーラントフィルムの一方の主面において測定される複合弾性率は、シーラントフィルムの材料を変更したりシーラントフィルムの延伸倍率や延伸処理時の温度条件を変更したり樹脂の密度や結晶化度を変更したりすることで調整することができる。密度及び結晶化度が大きくなるに従い、複合弾性率が大きくなる傾向にある。
 シーラントフィルムは対向する一対の主面を有する。一対の主面は、多面体(薄い立体であるシーラントフィルム)が有する他の表面よりも面積が広い表面である。
 シーラントフィルムの1mあたりの重量(Y)は、3.0g/m以上であってよく、18g/m以下であってよい。
 紙基材1の坪量をXとし、シーラントフィルム5の1mあたりの重量をYとしたとき、Yに対するXの比率(X/Y)は、3.7以上であることが好ましく、7.0以上であることがより好ましく、16.5以上であることが更に好ましい。上記比率(X/Y)が、3.7以上であることにより、包装材10の搬送時の破断が抑制される。上記比率(X/Y)は、30.0以下が好ましい。これにより、包装材10は搬送しやすいものとなる。上記比率(X/Y)は、3.7以上30.0以下、7.0以上30.0以下又は16.5以上30.0以下であってよい。
 シーラントフィルムは、無延伸であってよく、一軸延伸または二軸延伸であってもよい。シーラントフィルムは、複合弾性率が1.25~4.00GPaの範囲としやすい傾向があることから、延伸フィルムであることが好ましく、延伸ポリエチレンフィルムがより好ましい。
 シーラントフィルムの厚さは、2μm以上であり、蒸着層を形成する際の熱への耐久性の観点から、4μm以上であることが好ましく、6μm以上であることがより好ましく、8μm以上であることが更に好ましい。シーラントフィルムの厚さは、20μm以下であり、引き裂き性に一層優れる傾向があることから、18μm以下であることが好ましく、15μm以下であることがより好ましく、12μm以下であることが更に好ましい。
 シーラントフィルムの厚さは、2μm以上20μm以下、2μm以上18μm以下、2μm以上15μm以下、2μm以上12μm以下、4μm以上20μm以下、4μm以上18μm以下、4μm以上15μm以下、4μm以上12μm以下、6μm以上20μm以下、6μm以上18μm以下、6μm以上15μm以下、6μm以上12μm以下、8μm以上20μm以下、8μm以上18μm以下、8μm以上15μm以下、又は8μm以上12μm以下であってよい。
{第二実施形態}
 以下、第二実施形態に係る易開封性包装材について説明する。以下で説明がない点については、不整合が生じない限り、第一実施形態に係る易開封性包装材と同様である。図2は、第二実施形態に係る包装材を示す模式断面図である。一実施形態に係る包装材15は、シーラントフィルム5がスキン層5a及びコア層5bの2層を含む多層構造を有する点が、包装材10と異なる。包装材15においては、スキン層5a側の主面の表面において測定される複合弾性率が、1.25~4.00GPaである。
[シーラントフィルム]
 シーラントフィルムは、コア層及びスキン層の2層を含む多層構造を有する。スキン層は、シーラントフィルムの一方の最表面層である。多層構造を有するシーラントフィルムは、例えば異種の樹脂を共押出することにより得ることが出来る。
(スキン層)
 スキン層は、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含む。ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、ポリプロピレン樹脂及びポリエチレン樹脂が挙げられる。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂の含有量は、スキン層の全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリエチレン樹脂の含有量は、スキン層の全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリプロピレン樹脂の含有量は、スキン層の全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。
 ポリプロピレン樹脂としては、プロピレンと他のモノマーとの共重合体を用いることができる。共重合体に用いる他のモノマーとしては、例えば、エチレン、1-ブテン、1-ヘキセン等のα-オレフィンを使用してもよい。共重合体は、ランダム共重合体であってもよい。
 プロピレンと他のモノマーとの共重合体におけるプロピレン単位の含有量は、モノマー単位の全量を基準として、80モル%以上、90モル%以上、95モル%以上、又は96モル%以上であってもよく、99.7モル%以下、99.5モル%以下、99モル%以下、又は98モル%以下であってもよい。
 スキン層は、必要に応じて、例えば、酸化防止剤、安定剤、滑剤、帯電防止剤等の有機添加剤を含有してもよく、シリカ、ゼオライト、ハイドロタルサイト、シリコン粒子、サイロイド等の無機添加剤を含有してもよい。
 スキン層の厚さは、特に制限されないが、例えば、0.1μm以上5μm以下、0.2μm以上3μm以下、又は0.3μm以上2μm以下であってよい。
(コア層)
 コア層5bは、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含む。ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、ポリプロピレン樹脂及びポリエチレン樹脂が挙げられる。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂の含有量は、コア層の全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリエチレン樹脂の含有量は、コア層の全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリプロピレン樹脂の含有量は、コア層の全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。
 ポリプロピレン樹脂としては、プロピレンの単独重合体であるホモポリプロピレン樹脂、プロピレンとα-オレフィンとのランダム共重合体又はこれらの混合物が挙げられるが、耐熱性を向上させる観点からは、プロピレンの単独重合体であるホモポリプロピレン樹脂が好ましい。
 コア層は、必要に応じて、例えば、酸化防止剤、安定剤、滑剤、帯電防止剤等の有機添加剤を含有してもよく、シリカ、ゼオライト、ハイドロタルサイト、シリコン粒子、サイロイド等の無機添加剤を含有してもよい。
 コア層の厚さは、特に制限されないが、例えば、0.5μm以上15μm以下、1μm以上12μm以下、又は2μm以上10μm以下であってよい。
 以上、本開示の第一及び第二実施形態について詳細に説明したが、本開示は上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。例えば、他の実施形態に係る包装材は、バリアコート層を備えていなくてもよい。また、他の実施形態に係る包装材は、バリアコート層が、接着剤層と蒸着層との間ではなく、蒸着層とシーラントフィルムとの間に位置していてもよい。また、他の実施形態に係る包装材は、接着剤層と蒸着層との間に位置するバリアコート層に加えて、蒸着層とシーラントフィルムとの間に位置するバリアコート層を備えていてもよい。また、第二実施形態ではシーラントフィルムが2層であったが、3層であってよく、4層以上であってもよい。
<包装材の製造方法>
 以下、一実施形態に係る包装材の製造方法について説明する。当該製造方法は、第一及び第二実施形態に係る包装材を製造する方法である。本実施形態に係る包装材の製造方法は、以下の工程1~3を備える。工程1及び2は、工程1を先に実施してもよく、工程2を先に実施してもよく、両方を同時に実施してもよい。
工程1:シーラントフィルムの主面上に蒸着層を形成して第1の積層体を得る工程
工程2:紙基材の主面上に接着剤を塗布して得られる塗膜を乾燥して乾燥物を形成して第2の積層体を得る工程
工程3:第1の積層体及び第2の積層体を蒸着層と乾燥物とが対面するように貼り合わせる工程
 また、工程2及び3に代えて、以下の工程2A及び3Aを実施してもよい。
工程2A:シーラントフィルムの蒸着層を形成した主面上に、接着剤を塗布して得られる塗膜を乾燥して乾燥物を形成して第3の積層体を得る工程
工程3A:第3の積層体及び紙基材を乾燥物が紙基材に対面するように貼り合わせる工程
 樹脂製のシーラントフィルムよりも紙基材の方が熱への耐性が高い。そのため、後述するとおり工程2及び工程2Aにおいて塗膜を乾燥する際に、より高い温度で乾燥させられる。そのため、紙基材に乾燥物を形成する工程2を実施する方が、乾燥時間が短くなりやすいという点で有利である。一方、接着剤は紙基材よりも樹脂製のシーラントフィルムの方が染み込みにくい。そのため、シーラントフィルムに接着剤を塗布する工程2Aの方が、乾燥物(接着剤層)の厚さが均一になりやすく、加えて厚くなりやすい。その結果、工程2Aを実施する方が、紙基材とシーラントフィルムとの密着強度が大きくなりやすいという点で有利である。
 工程1において、蒸着層の形成方法としては公知の方法を用いることができる。例えば、真空蒸着法、スパッタリング法およびイオンプレーティング法などの物理気相成長法(Physical Vapor Deposition法、PVD法)、並びにプラズマ化学気相成長法、熱化学気相成長法および光化学気相成長法などの化学気相成長法(Chemical Vapor Deposition法、CVD法)などを用いることができる。
 工程2及び2Aにおいて、乾燥方法は、熱風乾燥、熱ロール乾燥、高周波照射、赤外線照射、及び、UV照射等であってよい。乾燥温度は特に限定されないが、60℃以上140℃以下が好ましく、90℃以上130℃以下がより好ましく、100℃以上120℃以下が更に好ましい。乾燥時間は、10秒以上3分以下が好ましく、30秒以上90秒以下がより好ましい。
 工程3において、第1の積層体と第2の積層体は、ローラによって加圧されながら貼り合わされてもよい。ローラによって加えられる圧力は0.05MPa以上0.5MPa以下であってよい。また、加圧と同時に加熱が行われてもよい。加熱が行われる場合には、温度は室温以上80℃以下であってよい。
 工程3Aにおいて、第3の積層体と紙基材は、ローラによって加圧されながら貼り合わされてもよい。ローラによって加えられる圧力は工程3と同様であってよい。また、加圧と同時に加熱が行われてもよい。加熱が行われる場合には、温度は工程3と同様であってよい。
 本実施形態に係る包装材の製造方法は、シーラントフィルムの主面上に蒸着層を形成する。紙基材に蒸着層を形成した場合と比較して、フィルムの方が紙よりも破断しにくいため、蒸着機内で安定搬送できる最低膜厚はフィルムの方が薄くなる。厚さが薄い方が蒸着機に入る最大巻径における巻長が長くなるので、1バッチの処理量が多くなる。また、紙は数%の水分を含み、減圧下での揮発成分量がシーラントフィルムより多い。そのため蒸着時の真空引き時間が長くなったり、揮発成分が蒸着膜の形成に悪影響したりする場合がある。本実施形態に係る包装材の製造方法は、シーラントフィルムの主面上に蒸着層を形成することで、蒸着膜の形成の生産性と蒸着膜の品質が向上する。
 本実施形態に係る包装材の製造方法は、以下の工程4を更に備えていてよい。
工程4:シーラントフィルムの主面上にバリアコート層を形成する工程
 工程4は、工程1の前に実施してよい。この場合、蒸着層は、バリアコート層の表面上に形成される。工程4は、工程1の後に実施してもよい。この場合、バリアコート層は蒸着層の表面上に形成される。
<包装袋>
 図3は、包装材10からなるガセット袋20を示す斜視図である。ガセット袋20の上部の開口部をシールすることで包装袋が製造される。ガセット袋20は包装材10が折り曲げられている箇所(折り曲げ部B1,B2)を有する。折り曲げ部B1は、最内層側からみて包装材10が谷折りされている箇所であり、他方、折り曲げ部B2は、最内層側からみて包装材10が山折りされている箇所である。
 包装袋は、1枚の包装材をシーラントフィルム5が対向するように二つ折りにした後、所望の形状になるように適宜折り曲げてヒートシールすることによって袋形状としたものであってもよく、2枚の包装材をシーラントフィルム5が対向するように重ねた後、ヒートシールすることによって袋形状としたものであってもよい。
 本実施形態に係る包装袋において、ヒートシール強度は、特に制限されない。ヒートシール強度は、シーラントフィルム5の厚さを変更することで適宜変更できる。例えば、重量が軽い内容物を収容する場合、ヒートシール強度は、2N以上であってよく、10N以下であってよい。また、重量が重い内容物を収容する場合、ヒートシール強度は、10N以上であることが好ましい。
 包装袋は、内容物として、食品、医薬品等の内容物を収容することができる。特に食品として、お菓子等を収容するのに適している。本実施形態に係る包装袋は、折り曲げ部を有する形状であっても高いガスバリア性を維持することができる。
 なお、本実施形態においては、包装袋の一例としてガセット袋を挙げたが、上記実施形態に係る包装材を使用して、例えば、ピロー袋、三方シール袋又はスタンディングパウチを作製してもよい。包装袋は、包装材15からなるものであってもよい。ガセット袋20に用いられる包装材は、第一実施形態に係る包装材を用いてよく、第二実施形態に係る包装材を用いてもよい。
 第2の発明群
 以下、本開示の好適な実施形態について詳細に説明する。ただし、本開示は以下の実施形態に限定されない。本明細書中に段階的に記載されている数値範囲において、ある段階の数値範囲の上限値又は下限値は、他の段階の数値範囲の上限値又は下限値に置き換えてもよい。また、本明細書中に記載されている数値範囲において、その数値範囲の上限値又は下限値は、実施例に示されている値に置き換えてもよい。また、個別に記載した上限値及び下限値は任意に組み合わせ可能である。
<ガスバリア積層体>
 図4は、一実施形態に係るガスバリア積層体を示す模式断面図である。一実施形態に係るガスバリア積層体40は、紙基材31と、水溶性高分子層32と、蒸着層33と、シーラントフィルム34と、をこの順序で備える積層構造を有する。シーラントフィルム34は、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含む。水溶性高分子層32は、酸素バリア性を有する。水溶性高分子層は、水溶性高分子を含む。紙基材31の坪量をXとし、シーラントフィルム34の1mあたりの重量をYとしたとき、Yに対するXの比率(X/Y)は、3.7以上30.0以下である。紙基材の坪量(X)は、10g/m以上100g/m以下である。
 ガスバリア積層体40は、環境適性に優れつつ、十分な製袋適性を有する。このような効果が奏される理由を本発明者らは以下のように推察する。すなわち、比率(X/Y)が3.7未満であると、製袋のために積層体を搬送する際にガスバリア積層体の強度が十分ではなく破断が生じる。また、比率(X/Y)が30.0超であると、ガスバリア積層体の剛性が高過ぎるためにガスバリア積層体の搬送が妨げられる。ガスバリア積層体40は、紙基材の坪量(X)が10g/m以上100g/m以下であり、且つ比率(X/Y)が3.7以上である。これにより、ガスバリア積層体40は、搬送時の破断の発生が抑制され環境適性に優れたものとなる。また、ガスバリア積層体40は、比率(X/Y)が30.0以下である。これにより、ガスバリア積層体40は、十分な搬送性を有するものとなる。その結果、ガスバリア積層体40は、環境適性に優れつつ、十分な製袋適性を有する。
 また、ガスバリア積層体40は、紙基材31とシーラントフィルム34との間に位置する水溶性高分子層32を備える。そのため、紙基材31とシーラントフィルム34とを水などで容易に剥がすことができる。そのため、ガスバリア積層体40は、リサイクル性に優れる傾向がある。また、ガスバリア積層体40は、後述するように非水溶性接着剤を用いずに製造し、残留溶剤、及び溶剤臭が少ないため、包材臭気性及び食品衛生性に優れる傾向がある。
 ガスバリア積層体の積層構造として、紙基材、バリアコート層、接着剤層、蒸着層、及びシーラントフィルムをこの順序で備える積層構造が考えられる。このような積層構造を有するガスバリア積層体と比較して、ガスバリア積層体40は、シワの発生が抑制される傾向がある。
 また、ガスバリア積層体40は、シーラントフィルム34の表面上に蒸着層33を備える。これにより、紙基材31上に蒸着層33を設けた場合と比較して、紙基材31の凹凸に由来する蒸着層33の欠陥の発生が抑制される傾向がある。その結果、ガスバリア積層体40は、ガスバリア性に優れる傾向がある。また、ガスバリア積層体40は、シーラントフィルムを備える。これにより、シーラント層がウェットコーティングにより形成された膜である場合と比較して、耐屈曲性が向上する傾向がある。
 比率(X/Y)は、7.0以上であることが好ましく、16.5以上であることがより好ましい。これにより、ガスバリア積層体40は、環境適性に一層優れ、また、製袋速度及びウェットラミネートの加工速度を一層上げることが可能となり、生産性が向上する傾向がある。比率(X/Y)は、3.7以上30.0以下、7.0以上30.0以下、又は16.5以上30.0以下であってよい。
 以下、ガスバリア積層体40の各層について詳述する。
[紙基材]
 紙基材31としては、特に限定されるものではなく、ガスバリア積層体40が適用される包装袋の用途に応じて適宜選択すればよい。植物由来のパルプを主成分としている紙であれば特に制限はない。紙基材31の具体例として、上質紙、特殊上質紙、コート紙、アート紙、キャストコート紙、模造紙、クラフト紙及びグラシン紙が挙げられる。紙基材31の密度は、0.7g/cm以上であってよい。紙基材31の厚さは、例えば、30μm以上100μm以下であってよく、30μm以上70μm以下であってよい。
 紙基材の坪量(X)は、環境適性に一層優れつつ、製袋速度及びラミネート速度が向上する傾向があることから、30g/m以上であることが好ましく、40g/m以上であることがより好ましい。紙基材の坪量(X)は、製袋時のヒートシール性が良好になり、製袋速度が向上する傾向があることから、80g/m以下であることが好ましく、70g/m以下であることがより好ましい。紙基材の坪量(X)は、10g/m以上100g/m以下、10g/m以上80g/m以下、10g/m以上70g/m以下、30g/m以上100g/m以下、30g/m以上80g/m以下、30g/m以上70g/m以下、40g/m以上100g/m以下、40g/m以上80g/m以下、又は40g/m以上70g/m以下であってよい。
 紙基材31には、少なくとも水溶性高分子層32と接する側にコート層が設けてあってもよい。コート層を設けることで、紙に水溶性高分子層32が染み込むことを防ぐことができるほか、紙の凹凸を埋める目止めの役割を果たすこともできる。コート層には、例えば、バインダー樹脂として、スチレン・ブタジエン系、スチレン・アクリル系、エチレン・酢酸ビニル系、などの各種共重合体、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂、セルロース系樹脂、パラフィン(WAX)等を用い、填料としてクレー、カオリン、炭酸カルシウム、タルク、マイカ等が含まれていてもよい。
 コート層の厚さは、例えば、1~10μm、又は3~8μmであってよい。
 紙基材31の質量比率は、ガスバリア積層体全体を基準として、75質量%以上であってよく、80質量%以上であることが好ましく、85質量%以上であることがより好ましく、90質量%以上であることが更に好ましい。紙基材の質量比率がこのような範囲にあると、プラスチック材料の使用量を十分に削減することができ、ガスバリア積層体全体として紙製であるということができるとともに、リサイクル性に優れる。
[水溶性高分子層]
 水溶性高分子層32は、酸素バリア性を有する。ここで、水溶性高分子層32が酸素バリア性を有するとは、JIS K7126-2(2006)に準じ、酸素透過率測定装置(MOCON社製「OX-TRAN2/21型」)を用い、23℃相対湿度50%の条件下で水溶性高分子層を測定した酸素透過率(OTR)が50cc/m/day/atm未満であることを意味する。
 水溶性高分子の含有量は、水溶性高分子層32の全量を基準として、80質量%以上、85質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上、97質量%以上、又は100質量%であってよい。
 水溶性高分子としては、例えば、ポリビニルアルコール(PVA)、エチレン-ビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)が挙げられる。高分子が水溶性を有するとは、分子量が大きく、水に溶ける性質をもつ分子である。水溶性高分子は、水に溶けると分子のまわりに多くの水を包含したヒドロゲルを形成するため水溶液の粘度を著しく増大させる傾向がある。水溶性を有するには、水溶性高分子は重合度が2000以下且つケン化度が80%以上であることが好ましい。バリア性と製膜性を両立しやすい観点から、重合度が400以上且つケン化度が80%以上であることが好ましい。
 PVAとしては、例えば、酢酸ビニル、ギ酸ビニル、プロピオン酸ビニル、バレリン酸ビニル、カプリン酸ビニル、ラウリン酸ビニル、ステアリン酸ビニル、ピバリン酸ビニル、バーサティック酸ビニル等のビニルエステルを、単独で重合し、次いでケン化した樹脂が挙げられる。PVAは、共重合変性又は後変性された変性PVAであってもよい。変性PVAは、例えばビニルエステルと、ビニルエステルと共重合可能な不飽和モノマーを共重合させた後にケン化することで得られる。ビニルエステルと共重合可能な不飽和モノマーとしては、例えばエチレン、プロピレン、イソブチレン、α-オクテン、α-ドデセン、α-オクタデセン等のオレフィン;3-ブテン-1-オール、4-ペンチン-1-オール、5-ヘキセン-1-オール等のヒドロキシ基含有α-オレフィン;アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、クロトン酸、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、イタコン酸、ウンデシレン酸等の不飽和酸;アクリロニトリル、メタアクリロニトリル等のニトリル;ジアセトンアクリルアミド、アクリルアミド、メタクリルアミド等のアミド;エチレンスルホン酸、アリルスルホン酸、メタアリルスルホン酸等のオレフィンスルホン酸;アルキルビニルエーテル、ジメチルアリルビニルケトン、N-ビニルピロリドン、塩化ビニル、ビニルエチレンカーボネート、2,2-ジアルキル-4-ビニル-1,3-ジオキンラン、グリセリンモノアリルエーテル、3,4-ジアセトキシ-1-ブテン等のビニル化合物;塩化ビニリデン、1,4-ジアセトキシ-2-ブテン、ビニレンカーボネート等が挙げられる。
 PVAの重合度は、例えば300~3000である。重合度が300以上であるとバリア性が低下しにくく、また3000以下であると粘度が高くなりすぎず十分な塗工適性が得られる傾向がある。PVAのケン化度は90モル%以上でもよく、95モル%以上でもよく、99モル%以上でもよい。また、PVAのケン化度は100モル%以下であっても、99.9モル%以下であってもよい。PVAの重合度及びケン化度は、JIS K 6726(1994)に記載の方法に準拠して測定できる。
 PVAの市販品としては、例えば、株式会社クラレ製のポバール及びエクセバール、日本酢ビ・ポバール株式会社製のJFシリーズ等が挙げられる。
 EVOHは、一般にエチレンと、酢酸ビニル、ギ酸ビニル、プロピオン酸ビニル、バレリン酸ビニル、カプリン酸ビニル、ラウリン酸ビニル、ステアリン酸ビニル、ピバリン酸ビニル、バーサティック酸ビニル等の酸ビニルエステルとの共重合体をケン化して得られる。
 EVOHの重合度は、例えば300~3000である。重合度が300以上であるとバリア性が低下しにくく、また3000以下であると粘度が高くなりすぎず十分な塗工適性が得られる傾向がある。EVOHのビニルエステル成分のケン化度は90モル%以上でもよく、95モル%以上でもよく、99モル%以上でもよい。また、EVOHのケン化度は100モル%以下であっても、99.9モル%以下であってもよい。EVOHのケン化度は、核磁気共鳴(1H-NMR)測定を行い、ビニルエステル構造に含まれる水素原子のピーク面積と、ビニルアルコール構造に含まれる水素原子のピーク面積とから求められる。
 EVOHのエチレン単位含有量は10モル%以上であり、15モル%以上がより好ましく、20モル%以上がさらに好ましく、25モル%以上が特に好ましい。また、EVOHのエチレン単位含有量は65モル%以下が好ましく、55モル%以下がより好ましく、50モル%以下がさらに好ましい。エチレン単位含有量が10モル%以上であると、高湿度下におけるガスバリア性あるいは寸法安定性を良好に保つことができる。一方、エチレン単位含有量が65モル%以下であると、ガスバリア性を高めることができる。EVOHのエチレン単位含有量は、NMR法により求めることができる。
 EVOHの市販品としては、例えば、株式会社クラレ製のソアノールが挙げられる。
 水溶性高分子層32には、上記ポリオレフィン及びポリビニルアルコール系樹脂のほかに他の成分を含んでいてもよい。他の成分としては、例えば、上記ポリオレフィン以外のポリオレフィン、ポリアクリル、ポリエステル、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレンイミン、ポリ乳酸、ポリアミド、でんぷん及びその誘導体、及びセルロース誘導体等の樹脂、並びにシランカップリング剤、有機チタネート、グリセリン、グリコール類、カゼイン及びワックス等の添加剤が挙げられる。
 水溶性高分子層32の厚さは、例えば、0.1μm以上であってよく、1μm以上であってよく、20μm以下であってよく、10μm以下であってよく、5μm以下であってよい。水溶性高分子層32の厚さが0.1μm以上であれば、より安定なバリア性が確保できる。また、水溶性高分子層32の厚さが20μm以下であれば、ガスバリア積層体40は、より環境適性に優れる。
[蒸着層]
 蒸着層33は、金属又は無機化合物を蒸着した層である。蒸着層33は、シーラントフィルム34の表面上にシーラントフィルム34に接するように設けられる。
 蒸着層33としては、アルミニウムを蒸着して得られたものであってもよく、酸化アルミニウム(AlO)、酸化ケイ素(SiO)等を含むものであってもよい。
 蒸着層33の厚さは、使用用途によって適宜設定すればよいが、好ましくは10nm以上、30nm以上、50nm以上であってよく、300nm以下、100nm以下、80nm以下であってよい。蒸着層33の厚さを10nm以上とすることで蒸着層33の連続性を十分なものとしやすく、300nm以下とすることでカールやクラックの発生を十分に抑制でき、十分なガスバリア性能及び可撓性を達成しやすい。
 蒸着層33の1mあたりの重量は、シーラントフィルム34の1mあたりの重量(Y)を基準として、20.1重量%以下、14.9重量%以下、又は11.2重量%以下であってよい。
 蒸着層33は、真空成膜手段によって成膜することが、酸素ガスバリア性能や膜均一性の観点から好ましい。成膜手段には、真空蒸着法、スパッタリング法、化学的気相成長法(CVD法)などの公知の方法があるが、成膜速度が速く生産性が高いことから真空蒸着法が好ましい。また真空蒸着法の中でも、特に電子ビーム加熱による成膜手段は、成膜速度を照射面積や電子ビーム電流などで制御しやすいことや蒸着材料への昇温降温が短時間で行えることから有効である。
[シーラントフィルム]
 シーラントフィルム34は、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含む。ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、低密度ポリエチレン樹脂(LDPE)、中密度ポリエチレン樹脂(MDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン樹脂(HDPE)、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン樹脂(LLDPE)、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)、エチレン-αオレフィン共重合体、エチレン-(メタ)アクリル酸共重合体などのエチレン系樹脂、ホモポリプロピレン樹脂(PP)、プロピレン-エチレンランダム共重合体、プロピレン-エチレンブロック共重合体、プロピレン-αオレフィン共重合体などのポリプロピレン系樹脂、又はこれらの混合物等を使用することができる。ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、ポリプロピレン樹脂が好ましい。ポリプロピレン樹脂は剛性が高いため、ガスバリア積層体40は、製袋適性に一層優れたものとなる傾向がある。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂の含有量は、シーラントフィルムの全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリエチレン樹脂の含有量は、シーラントフィルムの全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。ポリプロピレン樹脂の含有量は、シーラントフィルムの全量を基準として、70質量%以上、80質量%以上、90質量%以上、95質量%以上であってよく、100質量%であってもよい。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂以外の樹脂としては、例えば、ポリエステル樹脂、並びにポリ乳酸及びポリブチレンサクシネートが挙げられる。
 シーラントフィルムの1mあたりの重量(Y)は、3.0g/m以上であってよく、15g/m以下であってよい。
 シーラントフィルムは、無延伸であってよく、一軸延伸または二軸延伸であってもよい。
 シーラントフィルムとして、二軸延伸のポリプロピレン樹脂フィルムを好適に用いることができる。二軸延伸のポリプロピレン樹脂フィルムは、高温でのヒートシールが必要となる。特に、基材として紙を使用すると、紙の厚さにより、製袋時に熱がフィルムに伝わらず十分にシールできない場合がある。しかし、ガスバリア積層体40は、比率(X/Y)が3.7以上30.0以下である。これにより、ガスバリア積層体40は、二軸延伸のポリプロピレン樹脂フィルムを使用していても、搬送性を維持しつつ十分なヒートシール性が得られる傾向がある。
 シーラント層の厚さは、蒸着層を形成する際の熱への耐久性の観点から、4μm以上であることが好ましく、プラスチック材料の使用量が一層削減されることから、15μm以下であることが好ましい。
 以上、本開示の一実施形態に係るガスバリア積層体について詳細に説明したが、本開示のガスバリア積層体は、上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。例えば、本開示のガスバリア積層体は、紙基材31、水溶性高分子層32、蒸着層33、及びシーラントフィルム34に加えて他の層を備えていてもよい。
 ガスバリア積層体が、蒸着層33とシーラントフィルム34との間に他の層を備える場合、当該他の層の1mあたりの重量は、シーラントフィルム34の1mあたりの重量(Y)を基準として、20.1重量%以下、14.9重量%以下、又は11.2重量%以下であってよい。
<ガスバリア積層体の製造方法>
 ガスバリア積層体は、例えば、以下の工程(A)~(C)を備えるガスバリア積層体の製造方法により製造される。
工程(A):シーラントフィルム34及び蒸着層33を備える第1の積層体を準備する工程
工程(B):第1の積層体の蒸着層33側の表面又は紙基材の表面に水溶性高分子及び水を含む組成物を塗工する工程
工程(C):蒸着層33及び紙基材31が対向するように第1の積層体と紙基材31とを組成物を介して貼り合わせ、組成物を乾燥することで水溶性高分子層を形成し、ガスバリア積層体を得る工程
 ガスバリア積層体の積層構造として、紙基材、バリアコート層、接着剤層、蒸着層、及びシーラントフィルムをこの順序で備える積層構造が考えられる。このような積層構造を有するガスバリア積層体と比較して、本実施形態に係るガスバリア積層体の製造方法は、接着剤層を形成するためのドライラミネート工程及びエージング工程を省略できるため、生産性に優れる傾向がある。また、紙基材、バリアコート層、接着剤層、蒸着層、及びシーラントフィルムを備えるガスバリア積層体では、蒸着層及びシーラントフィルムを備える積層体の蒸着層側の表面に接着剤を塗布して乾燥した後に紙基材と貼り合わせる。他方、本実施形態に係るガスバリア積層体の製造方法は、第1の積層体と紙基材31とを組成物を介して貼り合わせ、組成物を乾燥する。そのため、紙基材が支持体となり、熱収縮を抑制し、シワの発生が抑制される傾向がある。
 組成物における水溶性高分子の含有量は、組成物の全量を基準として、5~95質量%であってよい。組成物における水の含有量は、組成物の全量を基準として、10~90質量%であってよい。組成物を乾燥する温度は、70~150℃であってよい。
<包装袋>
 図5は、ガスバリア積層体40からなるガセット袋50を示す斜視図である。ガセット袋50の上部の開口部をシールすることで包装袋が製造される。ガセット袋50はガスバリア積層体40が折り曲げられている箇所(折り曲げ部B1,B2)を有する。折り曲げ部B1は、最内層側からみてガスバリア積層体40が谷折りされている箇所であり、他方、折り曲げ部B2は、最内層側からみてガスバリア積層体40が山折りされている箇所である。
 包装袋は、1枚のガスバリア積層体をシーラントフィルム34が対向するように二つ折りにした後、所望の形状になるように適宜折り曲げてヒートシールすることによって袋形状としたものであってもよく、2枚のガスバリア積層体をシーラントフィルム34が対向するように重ねた後、ヒートシールすることによって袋形状としたものであってもよい。
 本実施形態に係る包装袋において、ヒートシール強度は、2N以上であってよく、10N以上であってよい。なお、ヒートシール強度の上限値は特に制限されるものではないが、例えば20N以下であってよい。
 包装袋は、内容物として、食品、医薬品等の内容物を収容することができる。特に食品として、お菓子等を収容するのに適している。本実施形態に係る包装袋は、折り曲げ部を有する形状であっても高いガスバリア性を維持することができる。
 なお、本実施形態においては、包装袋の一例としてガセット袋を挙げたが、本実施形態に係るガスバリア積層体を使用して、例えば、ピロー袋、三方シール袋又はスタンディングパウチを作製してもよい。
 第1の検討
 以下、実施例及び比較例に基づいて本開示の第1の発明群をより具体的に説明するが、本開示は以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。
<包装材の作製>
(実施例1-1)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ3.3μm、総厚4μm)を用意した。
 ロールtoロールの誘導加熱方式の真空蒸着装置にて、シーラントフィルムのコア層上に厚さ140nmのAl蒸着層を形成した。
 紙基材として坪量30g/mのクラフト紙を、接着層用の接着剤として三井化学製のタケラックPP6263/タケネートA50を用意した。
 ドライラミネーターにより、シーラントフィルムのAl蒸着層の表面に接着剤を塗工し、塗膜を乾燥させた。Al蒸着層と紙基材とを塗膜の乾燥物を介して貼り付けることでドライラミネートして積層体を得た。50℃4日間の条件で積層体を養生した。これにより、実施例1-1の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-2、1-3)
 紙基材として、表1に示すとおり坪量が60g/m又は100g/mのクラフト紙を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-1と同様にして実施例1-2、1-3の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-4)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ7.3μm、総厚8μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-1と同様にして実施例1-4の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-5、1-6)
 紙基材として、表1に示すとおり坪量60g/m又は100g/mのクラフト紙を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-4と同様にして実施例1-5、1-6の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-7)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ11.3μm、総厚12μm)を用い、紙基材として坪量40g/mのクラフト紙を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-1と同様にして実施例1-7の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-8、1-9)
 紙基材として、表1に示すとおり坪量60g/m又は100g/mのクラフト紙を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-7と同様にして実施例1-8、1-9の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-10)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ17.3μm、総厚18μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして実施例1-10の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-11)
 紙基材として、坪量100g/mのクラフト紙を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-10と同様にして実施例1-11の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-12)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:6モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ7.3μm、総厚8μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして実施例1-12の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-13)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:0.5モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ7.3μm、総厚8μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして実施例1-13の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-14)
 シーラントフィルムとして、ホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(総厚8μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして実施例1-14の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-15)
 シーラントフィルムとして、高密度ポリエチレンフィルム(総厚10μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして実施例1-15の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-16)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ3.3μm、総厚4μm)を用意した。
 グラビアコーターにて、シーラントフィルムのコア層上にポリビニルアルコール水溶液を塗工し、塗膜を乾燥することで乾燥厚さ1μmのバリアコート層を形成した。
 ロールtoロールの誘導加熱方式の真空蒸着装置にて、バリアコート層上に厚さ140nmのAl蒸着層を形成した。
 紙基材として坪量60g/mのクラフト紙を、接着層用の接着剤として三井化学製のタケラックPP6263/タケネートA50を用意した。
 ドライラミネーターにより、シーラントフィルムのAl蒸着層の表面に接着剤を塗工し、塗膜を乾燥させた。Al蒸着層と紙基材とを塗膜の乾燥物を介して貼り付けることでドライラミネートして積層体を得た。積層体を50℃4日間の条件で養生した。これにより、実施例1-16の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-17)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ3.3μm、総厚4μm)を用意した。
 ロールtoロールの誘導加熱方式の真空蒸着装置にて、シーラントフィルムのスキン層上に厚さ140nmのAl蒸着層を形成した。
 グラビアコーターにて、シーラントフィルムのAl蒸着層上にポリビニルアルコール水溶液を塗工、乾燥して、厚さ1μmのバリアコート層を形成した。
 紙基材として坪量60g/mのクラフト紙を、接着層用の接着剤として三井化学製のタケラックPP6263/タケネートA50を用意した。
 ドライラミネーターにより、シーラントフィルムのAl蒸着層の表面に接着剤を塗工し、塗膜を乾燥させた。Al蒸着層と紙基材とを塗膜の乾燥物を介して貼り付けることでドライラミネートして積層体を得た。積層体を50℃4日間の条件で養生した。これにより、実施例1-17の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-18)
 前記蒸着層の厚さを65nmとしたこと以外は、実施例1-16と同様にして実施例1-18の易開封性包装材を得た。
(実施例1-19)
 前記蒸着層の厚さを65nmとしたこと以外は、実施例1-17と同様にして実施例1-19の易開封性包装材を得た。
(比較例1-1)
 シーラントフィルムとして、無延伸ポリプロピレン(CPP)フィルム(厚さ30μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-1と同様にして比較例1-1の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-2)
 シーラントフィルムとして、無延伸ポリプロピレン(CPP)フィルム(厚さ30μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして比較例1-2の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-3)
 シーラントフィルムとして、無延伸ポリプロピレン(CPP)フィルム(厚さ30μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-3と同様にして比較例1-3の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-4)
 シーラントフィルムとして、直鎖低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)フィルム(厚さ40μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-1と同様にして比較例1-4の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-5)
 シーラントフィルムとして、直鎖低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)フィルム(厚さ40μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして比較例1-5の包装材を得た。

 シーラントフィルムとして、直鎖低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)フィルム(厚さ40μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-3と同様にして比較例1-6の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-7)
 シーラントフィルムとして、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルム(厚さ30μm)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1-2と同様にして比較例1-7の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-8)
 シーラントフィルムとして、スキン層がエチレン―プロピレンランダム共重合体(エチレン含有量:3.2モル%)、コア層がホモポリプロピレン樹脂からなる二軸延伸OPPフィルム(スキン層厚さ0.7μm、コア層厚さ3.3μm、総厚4μm)を用意した。
 紙基材として坪量60g/mのクラフト紙を、接着層用の接着剤として三井化学製のタケラックPP6263/タケネートA50を用意した。
 ドライラミネーターにより、シーラントフィルムのコア層表面に接着剤を塗工し、塗膜を乾燥させた。シーラントフィルムと紙基材とを塗膜の乾燥物を介して貼り付けることでドライラミネートして積層体を得た。50℃4日間の条件で積層体を養生した。これにより、比較例1-8の易開封性包装材を得た。
(比較例1-9)
 紙(クレーコート紙、坪量:60g/m、紙厚さ:55μm、クレーコート厚さ:5μm)の表面上に、カルボキシル基及びカルボキシル基の塩を有するポリオレフィン系樹脂を含む塗液(商品名:ケミパールS500、アイオノマー系、粒径:<0.5μm、溶媒:水及びIPA、三井化学株式会社製)をバーコーターで塗工し、オーブンで乾燥させ、バリアコート層(厚さ:3μm)を形成した。続いて、バリアコート層上にAL蒸着を施してAL蒸着層(厚さ:140nm)を形成した。蒸着層上に、シーラントフィルムとしての無延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂(CPP)フィルム(厚さ:20μm)、を接着剤(商品名:タケラックPP6263/タケネートA50、ウレタン系2液タイプ、三井化学株式会社製)を用いてドライラミネートして包装材を得た。接着剤層の厚さは2μmであった。
(比較例1-10)
 比較例1-9と同様にして紙の表面上にバリアコート層を、バリアコート層上にAL蒸着層を形成した。蒸着層の表面上に、カルボキシル基及びカルボキシル基の塩を有するポリオレフィン系樹脂を含む塗液(商品名:ケミパールS500、アイオノマー系、粒径:<0.5μm、溶媒:水及びIPA、三井化学株式会社製)をバーコーターで塗工し、オーブンで乾燥させ、オーバーコート層(厚さ:3μm)を形成した。オーバーコート層上に、シーラントフィルムとしての無延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂(CPP)フィルム(厚さ:20μm)、を接着剤(商品名:タケラックPP6263/タケネートA50、ウレタン系2液タイプ、三井化学株式会社製)を用いてドライラミネートして包装材を得た。接着剤層の厚さは2μmであった。
(比較例1-11)
 比較例1-9と同様にして紙の表面上にバリアコート層を、バリアコート層上にAL蒸着層を形成した。蒸着層の表面上に、カルボキシル基及びカルボキシル基の塩を有するポリオレフィン系樹脂を含む塗液(商品名:ケミパールS500、アイオノマー系、粒径:<0.5μm、溶媒:水及びIPA、三井化学株式会社製)をバーコーターで塗工し、オーブンで乾燥させ、シーラントフィルム(厚さ:3μm)を形成して包装材を得た。
(比較例1-12)
 カルボキシル基及びカルボキシル基の塩を有するポリオレフィン系樹脂を含む塗液に代えて、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂(けん化度:98%、重合度:500)を用いてバリアコート層を形成したこと以外は、比較例1-9と同様にして包装材を得た。
(比較例1-13)
 蒸着層の厚さを65nmとしたこと以外は、比較例1-9と同様にして比較例1-13の包装材を得た。
(比較例1-14)
 蒸着層の厚さを65nmとしたこと以外は、比較例1-10と同様にして比較例1-14の包装材を得た。
 各実施例及び比較例の包装材について、以下の評価を行った。
<製袋適性>
 各例で得られた包装材を使用して大成ラミック株式会社製の製袋機にて3方パウチ(高さ:10cm、幅:7.7cm)を作製した。製袋速度は、45個/分とした。包装袋を作製できた場合を「A」とし作製できなかった場合を「B」として結果を表に示す。
 また、包装袋を作製できた包装材について、破断や搬送の不具合が生じない製袋速度の最高値を測定した。当該最高値を以下の基準に沿って評価した。結果を表に示す。

A:製袋速度の最高値が、90個/分以上
B:製袋速度の最高値が、50個/分以上90個/分未満
C:製袋速度の最高値が、50個/分未満
<引裂きやすさの評価>
 製袋適性の評価で作製した3方パウチを用いて、引裂き性を評価した。男女それぞれ10人から無作為に5人の評価者を選び、選ばれた評価者が三方パウチを引き裂き、引き裂きやすさを下記の基準に沿って評価した。三方パウチを引き裂く方向は、紙の抄紙工程における流れ方向に沿った方向(MD)と、紙の抄紙工程における流れ方向に垂直な方向(CD)とした。選ばれた評価者の評価結果のうち最も悪い評価結果をその包装材の評価結果とした。
(評価基準)
A:容易に引き裂けシーラントフィルムの伸びが確認されない
B:引き裂けるがシーラントフィルムの伸びが確認される
C:引き裂けない
<ガスバリア性>
 各例で得られた包装材の酸素透過度(OTR)を、酸素透過度測定装置(MOCON社製、商品名:OX-TRAN 2/22)を用いて、温度30℃、相対湿度70%の条件で、JIS K-7126-2に準拠して測定した。
 さらに、1500gのローラーを300mm/分の速さで転がしながら、紙基材側からみて包装材が谷折りとなるように(シーラントフィルムが外面になるように)包装材のMDと平行な折り目を付け、開いた後の包装材の折り目部分の酸素透過度を測定した
 測定結果を以下の基準に沿って評価し、「B」以上を良好とした。結果を表に示す。

<複合弾性率>
 各例の包装材のシーラントフィルムの表面の複合弾性率をナノインデンテーション法により測定した。
 測定装置はブルカージャパン株式会社製のHysitron TI-Premier(商品名)を用いた。圧子はブルカージャパン株式会社製のバーコビッチ型ダイヤモンド圧子を用いた。
 ナノインデンテーション法による測定は、変位制御モードにて、押し込み速度30nm/秒にて深さ30nmまで押し込みを行った後、最大深さにて1秒間保持後、30nm/秒の速度にて除荷した。測定箇所は、シーラントフィルムの紙基材とは反対側(最内層側)の主面の表面上を1μm以上の間隔で20点指定してナノインデンテーション法による測定を行った。
 複合弾性率の算出方法は、標準試料となる溶融石英を予め試験し、圧子と試料の接触深さと接触投影面積の関係を校正する。その後、除荷時の最大荷重に対して60~95%領域の除荷曲線をOliver-Pharr法にて解析し、複合弾性率を算出した。
 各例で得られた包装材について、包装材全体を基準とした紙基材の質量比率を測定した。結果を表に示す。
 第2の検討
 以下、実施例及び比較例に基づいて本開示第2の発明群をより具体的に説明するが、本開示は以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。
[ガスバリア積層体の製造]
(実施例2-1~2-30)
 各実施例のシーラントフィルムとして表4に示す材質、厚さ、密度、重量のシーラントフィルムを準備した。シーラントフィルムの一方の表面にアルミニウム蒸着をした。これによりシーラントフィルム上にアルミニウム蒸着層(厚さ:140nm)が形成された第1の積層体を得た。各実施例の紙基材として表4に示す坪量の紙基材を準備した。第1の積層体と、紙基材とを、第1の積層体の蒸着層と紙基材とが対向するように酸素バリア性水溶性高分子剤(株式会社クラレ製、商品名:HR-3010、塗布量:2.5g/m)を用いてウェットラミネート法で貼り合わせた。これによりガスバリア積層体を得た。
 表4中、厚さ12μm、材質がOPP(二軸延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂)のシーラントフィルムとして東レ社製のトレファンを用いた。表4中、厚さ9μm、材質がHDPE(高密度ポリエチレン樹脂)として宇部フィルム株式会社製の製品を用いた。
(比較例1~3)
 各比較例のシーラントフィルムとして表4に示す材質、厚さ、密度、重量のシーラントフィルムを準備した。シーラントフィルムの一方の表面にアルミニウム蒸着をした。これによりシーラントフィルム上にアルミニウム蒸着層(厚さ:140nm)が形成された第1の積層体を得た。各比較例の紙基材として表4に示す坪量の紙基材を準備した。第1の積層体と、紙基材とを、第1の積層体の蒸着層と紙基材とが対向するように接着剤(三井化学株式会社製、商品名:主剤タケラックPP6263/硬化剤タケネートA50、塗布量:3g/m)で貼り合わせた。これによりガスバリア積層体を得た。
(比較例4)
 シーラントフィルムとして表4に示す材質、厚さ、密度、重量のシーラントフィルムを準備した。紙基材として表4に示す坪量の紙基材を準備した。シーラントフィルムと、紙基材とを、2液型の接着剤(三井化学株式会社製、商品名:主剤タケラックPP6263/硬化剤タケネートA50、塗布量:3g/m)で貼り合わせた。これによりガスバリア積層体を得た。
(比較例5)
 紙基材として表4に示す坪量の紙基材を準備した。紙基材の一方の表面にアルミニウム蒸着をした。これにより紙基材上にアルミニウム蒸着層(厚さ:140nm)が形成された第1の積層体を得た。シーラントフィルムとして表4に示す材質、厚さ、密度、重量のシーラントフィルムを準備した。第1の積層体と、シーラントフィルムとを第1の積層体の蒸着層とシーラントフィルムとが対向するように2液型の接着剤(三井化学株式会社製、商品名:主剤タケラックPP6263/硬化剤タケネートA50、塗布量:3g/m)で貼り合わせた。これによりガスバリア積層体を得た。
[ガスバリア性]
 各例で得られたガスバリア積層体の酸素透過度(OTR)を、酸素透過度測定装置(MOCON社製、商品名:OX-TRAN 2/22)を用いて、温度23℃、相対湿度50%の条件で、JIS K-7126-2に準拠して測定した。測定結果を以下の基準に沿って評価し、「B」以上を良好とした。
(基準)
A:25cc/(m・day・atm)未満
B:25cc/(m・day・atm)以上50cc/(m・day・atm)未満
C:50cc/(m・day・atm)以上
[製袋適性]
 各例で得られたガスバリア積層体を使用して大成ラミック株式会社製の製袋機にて3方パウチ(高さ:10cm、幅:7.7cm)を作製した。製袋速度は、45個/分とした。包装袋を作製できた場合を「A」とし作製できなかった場合を「B」として結果を表5に示す。また、包装袋を作製できたガスバリア積層体について、ガスバリア積層体の破断や搬送の不具合が生じない製袋速度の最高値を測定した。当該最高値を以下の基準に沿って評価した。
(基準)
A:製袋速度の最高値が、90個/分以上
B:製袋速度の最高値が、50個/分以上90個/分未満
C:製袋速度の最高値が、50個/分未満
[環境適性]
 各例で得られたガスバリア積層体について、ガスバリア積層体全体を基準とした紙基材の質量比率を測定した。測定結果を以下の基準で評価した。
(基準)
A:紙基材の質量比率が、85質量%以上
B:紙基材の質量比率が、75質量%以上85質量%未満
C:紙基材の質量比率が、75質量%未満
[分離性(リサイクル性)]
 各例で得られたガスバリア積層体について、各々の溶媒に浸漬して、シーラントフィルムと紙基材との分離可否を確認した。分離結果を以下の基準で評価した。
(基準)
A:95℃以上の水により分離可能
B:95℃以上の水により分離不可能(酢酸エチル等のエステル系溶剤により分離)
[加工適性]
 各例で得られたガスバリア積層体について、ウェットラミネートを行いシワよりが発生しない送り出しの最高速度を測定した。ウェットラミネートには、ウェットラミネート機を用いた。具体的には、ウェットラミネート機の第1給紙部にシーラントフィルムの原反を、第2給紙部に紙基材の原反を取り付けた。第1給紙部からシーラントフィルムを送り出し、ダイレクトグラビア法によりシーラントフィルムに酸素バリア性水溶性高分子剤を塗布して塗膜を形成した。塗膜が形成されたシーラントフィルムを第2給紙部から送り出した紙基材と貼り合わせてオーブンに通して塗膜を乾燥させた。測定された最高速度を以下の基準で評価した。
(基準)
A:送り出しの最高速度が、200m/分以上
B:送り出しの最高速度が、100m/分以上200m/分未満
C:送り出しの最高速度が、50m/分以上100m/分未満
D:送り出しの最高速度が、50m/分未満
 1,31…紙基材、2…接着剤層、3…バリアコート層、4,33…蒸着層、5…シーラントフィルム、10,15…包装材、20,50…包装袋、32…水溶性高分子層、40…ガスバリア積層体。B1,B2…折り曲げ部。

Claims (19)

  1.  紙基材と、
     接着剤層と、
     蒸着層と、
     シーラントフィルムと、
    をこの順序で備える積層構造を有する包装材であって、
     前記包装材の全質量に占める前記紙基材の質量比率が、75質量%超であり、
     前記シーラントフィルムの厚さが、2~20μmであり、
     前記シーラントフィルムが、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含む、包装材。
  2.  前記シーラントフィルムの一方の主面において測定される複合弾性率が、1.25~4.00GPaである、請求項1に記載の包装材。
  3.  前記ポリオレフィン樹脂が、ポリプロピレン樹脂を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の包装材。
  4.  前記シーラントフィルムの厚さが、4~15μmである、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の包装材。
  5.  前記蒸着層と、前記シーラントフィルムとの間にバリアコート層を更に備える、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の包装材。
  6.  前記紙基材と、前記蒸着層との間にバリアコート層を更に備える、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の包装材。
  7.  前記バリアコート層が、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含む、請求項5に記載の包装材。
  8.  前記バリアコート層が、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含む、請求項6に記載の包装材。
  9.  請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の包装材を含む、包装袋。
  10.  折り曲げ部を有する、請求項9に記載の包装袋。
  11.  請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の包装材の製造方法であって、下記工程1~3を備える、包装材の製造方法。
    工程1:前記シーラントフィルムの主面上に前記蒸着層を形成して第1の積層体を得る工程
    工程2:前記紙基材の主面上に接着剤を塗布して得られる塗膜を乾燥して乾燥物を形成して第2の積層体を得る工程
    工程3:前記第1の積層体及び前記第2の積層体を前記蒸着層と前記乾燥物とが対面するように貼り合わせる工程
  12.  紙基材と、
     酸素バリア性を有する水溶性高分子層と、
     蒸着層と、
     シーラントフィルムと、
    をこの順序で備える積層構造を有し、
     前記シーラントフィルムが、ポリオレフィン樹脂を含み、
     前記紙基材の坪量をXとし、前記シーラントフィルムの1mあたりの重量をYとしたとき、前記Yに対する前記Xの比率(X/Y)が、3.7以上30.0以下であり、
     前記Xが、10g/m以上100g/m以下である、ガスバリア積層体。
  13.  前記ポリオレフィン樹脂が、ポリプロピレン樹脂を含む、請求項12に記載のガスバリア積層体。
  14.  前記シーラントフィルムの厚さが、4μm以上15μm以下である、請求項12又は13に記載のガスバリア積層体。
  15.  前記比率(X/Y)が、7.0以上30.0以下である、請求項12~14のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア積層体。
  16.  前記比率(X/Y)が、16.5以上30.0以下である、請求項12~15のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア積層体。
  17.  前記紙基材の坪量が、40g/m以上80g/m以下である、請求項12~16のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア積層体。
  18.  請求項12~17のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア積層体を含む、包装袋。
  19.  請求項12~17のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア積層体の製造方法であって、下記工程(A)~(C)を備える、ガスバリア積層体の製造方法。
    工程(A):前記シーラントフィルム及び前記蒸着層を備える第1の積層体を準備する工程
    工程(B):前記第1の積層体の前記蒸着層側の表面又は前記紙基材の表面に水溶性高分子及び水を含む組成物を塗工する工程
    工程(C):前記蒸着層及び前記紙基材が対向するように前記第1の積層体と前記紙基材とを前記組成物を介して貼り合わせ、前記組成物を乾燥することで前記水溶性高分子層を形成し、前記ガスバリア積層体を得る工程
